You know Conservatism is dead in America when at Free Republic the Populist out-polls the Conservative.

I’ll go down fighting. But it’s over, folks.

I’ll vote Cruz. As necessary, I’ll vote Trump to stick it to the GOPe. But it saddens me that actual Conservatism is a minority opinion where putative conservatives gather.

From what I’ve seen about Cruz, I don’t share your opinion that he’s a solid Conservative.

He’s an opportunist. You want to see a Conservative in him, and so you do.

You don’t want to see his more muddled ways, and so you don’t.

At the end of the day, I honestly believe the Trump supporters are more honest with themselves than Cruz supporters are.

I realize Trumps past and calculate that in.

Cruz supporters deny his past and refuse to calculate it in.
