if Trump wins Iowa, the primary is over and even Texas won’t matter. However, the listing is weird......the order should be highest to lowest and not everything all over the place.

It doesn’t matter. If Cruz doesn’t win in Iowa, an outcome that appears to become less likely every day, his campaign is over.

While I'm a Trump supporter, I wouldn't mind seeing Ted Cruz winning his home state. In fact, I would expect that. Winning there would set him up for a run later on. Losing that state would probably make it difficult for him to run for president again and I don't want to see that happen.

On the other hand, I am rubbing my hands in anticipation of Jebbie and Rubio getting humiliated in their home state of Florida with Trump and Cruz coming in numbers 1 and 2.

TX doesn’t vote until March 1st. By that time Trump could very well have won IA, NH, SC and NV which will have a big effect on how TX actually votes.

Good news for Ted...lots of delegates from TX...

I’m surprised that positive Cruz news has not been removed from the site yet!

March 1 is the SEC primary:

“...What makes Texas more fascinating is the overall political dynamic on March 1.

Other Southern states, including Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee, are also holding elections in what’s billed as the SEC primary because it includes states with schools in college football’s Southeastern Conference.

There’s also something for Northerners that day. Minnesota, Massachusetts, Vermont and Alaska have presidential elections as well.

Given the importance of the SEC bonanza, Cruz and Trump and other contenders have put resources in the South. Cruz says the nomination will probably be won March 1, a day with 632 delegates at stake. That’s the largest haul of any day in the primary process. Consider that the early contest states offer only 133 delegates”...

I don’t think it is true but hardcore trumpees believe everything DT says. They also don’t look at how many gop voters don’t support DT and polls say will never vote for him in primaries. It is an alternate universe.
I expect Cruz to win Iowa.
