Sarah Palin’s public performances continue to be distinctive. Her endorsement of Donald Trump was less speech than podium jazz scat, with some early Elvis thrown in. “Trump’s candidacy, it has exposed not just that tragic, the ramifications of that betrayal of a transformation of our country, but too, he has exposed the complicity on both sides of the aisle that has enabled it, okay?” Essentially: Bee-bop-a-lula he’s my baby. She was scattered, rambly; at moments she foraged through her notes in a way that was almost endearing, looking for lines that would connect and explode. But it’s not as interesting as it used to be because it’s not new.

no no....you need to get your mind right....now Sowell and Andy McCarthy are nothing but pro McConnell establishment hacks.
Oh wait, no, THATS now the Donald.
I'm betting you just read the headers, and cannot produce a single syllable of his that fits your criteria.
Welcome back!!!
People of stature endorsements !
That your way to take a cheap shot at Palin, bitter crazy Cruz
Peggy Noon voted for Obama Twice !
She is a Fraud / Con artist and a Lib from Manhattan.
Your guy is owned by a Billionaire Tax Cheat from NYC.
Ha, you are off your game. Usually your insults are much more aggressive.
so in other words - I was 100% correct - you CANNOT find a single syllable of what Sowell said to validate your post. Game set match.
Peggy Noonan is a good example of why one shouldn’t write when they’ve been drinking....
Sorry, of late his articles have been naïve and show us that the guy isn’t as street smart as we’ve thought all these years.
I would read Peggy Noonan, George Will and Thomas Sowell religiously, I mean religiously, along with most of the gang of 22 on NRO. Not any more. One or two paragraphs and you know where it’s going
Trump has done more to deflate the professional intelligentsia in this country than any one, probably next to Eric Hoffer... but then again who knows who Eric Hoffer was....?
I agree. I remember a year plus ago seeing two or three pontifications from him about voting for the most electable RINO candidate even if they are only the second most evil behind Hillary.
It seems that the “we must nomination the most electable” was really all about the RINO Jeb and his ilk. I’ve pretty much written him off along with Noonan, Will, Kristol, Kraut, Hume and all the rest.
She can't even come up with a title without some childish cheap shot. Sore Loser.
Oh, please.
Jesus Himself could write a piece critical of The Donald, and he’d be denigrated and ostracized for it.
Satan and Stalin could co-author a flattering piece on Trump for Dabiq Magazine, and you and the other sycophants would become avid boosters (and probably subscribe).
I’m not blind. I see what’s going on here. And it’s disappointing.
Wonder when the last time Nooner talked to a real American? Doubt she heard Sarah’s second speech which was excellent.
Pray America wakes
That’s the rub, isn’t it? The very same establishment types who are railing against Donald Trump are the very ones who enabled his rise to prominence. We tried to tell them. So many times, we tried to get them to listen. We voted for their candidates, gave them a House majority two midterms in a row, and all we wanted in return was for them to listen to our concerns and act on them. Instead, they have fallen into lockstep with the Democratic agenda, played courtier to the Obama administration, and essentially told us to “drop dead”.
Trump is their doing. Whether or not he does our country good, God only knows, but it would serve every one of those inside-the-beltway jackasses good if he does win.
My opinion of him has evolved over time. I liked his plain spoken, no-BS approach. The Cruz attacks have tempered my enthusiasm a bit. I don’t call myself “Team”-either, but I find I’m leaning more towards Cruz lately. I will not bash the supporters of either candidate, since I don’t believe in taking aim at people on my own idealogical side.
I will say this, however. I will find some schadenfreude in a Trump win, just for the entire dairy farm’s worth of egg on the faces of all these idiots who sneer at us while telling us how to vote.
Great comment!
There are times Thomas Sowell goes off the reservation.
His signing his name to the piece of trash TNR issue is one of them.
He did not sign his name to the whole thing....like Andy McCarthy (who I guess is just an establishment hack now too) - he only signed his name to what HE wrote.
Nobody signed their name to all 22 essays, or 20, or however many there were.
I agree with the emotion here, but time to step back just a few. He has now signed onto those very same jack asses with ethanol and attacking Cruz's standing up to McConnell and promising to "do deals" and "curry favor" with the Washington Cartel.
Ah shhhhhhhh Peggy!
Bullsqueeze. That line of reasoning is infantile.
Is his name on or off the front cover?
Is the whole goal of that birdcage liner to stop Trump?
Has Sowell come out in print decrying the use of his name this way? No?
His name is not on the front cover. It’s only on HIS particular essay. If you could read well enough to have gotten through all of them, you would know this is true of ALL authors. They don’t agree. They have different focuses.
I realize that it takes an IQ above average to not just generalize to the absurd.
