JANUARY 22, 2016 ~ CONSISTENTCONSERVATIVES
This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?
My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.

I live in Texas and worked and voted for Cruz to be my Senator. Proud of him.
I like Trump for his anger at Wash DC, the professional politicos and the chattering classes—and his true belief in protecting our borders (my son was a Border Patrol Agent and illegals tried to kill him one night) and stopping the muslime invasion.
I am angry too, but do know, collegiality has its place, like in the Senate chamber, but when this great country has moved so far left that an open socialist is leading in the democrat primary, I’ve had enough.
To me taking your ball home instead of doing something to stop a socialist (for gawd’s sake) or the evil witch from being elected is the ultimate betrayal. Our nation will be lost is we don’t keep the socialist and witch out of the White House, if only because the SCOTUS will be in play this next presidential term. One can argue if Cruz nominations to the SCOTUS would make it through or be “Borked,” and one can argue if Trumps picks will be reliably “conservative” in their votes, but one thing is for certain, with the gutless republicans in the Senate, President Bernie or President Hitlery WILL get their reliably socialist/lefty nominees on the court. . .and there will be more than one this next term so the court will be lost for generations and our nation may not survive with internationalists and socialist/activist judges. . .that is my fear.
Some days I am more for Cruz, some days more for Trump. The thing is, I’m not sure just yet and threads on the subject are nothing more than insults and petty snipes at those that don’t NOW back their sainted choice.
Threads seem to be all rude bluster and all I want is an honest, unemotional and rational discussion of the candidates and their positions, not yelling and hype, insults (”you’re an idiot and must be a XXXXX supporter if you disagree with me”).
Attempts to manipulate or intimidate do not win any backers and reflect poorly on your sainted choice of a candidate, as well as provide aide and comfort, as well as ammunition, to Bernie and Hitlery.
It is well past the time to knock off the circular firing squad and focus on the real enemy—the democrat party.
It is time we rationally discuss the candidates without rancor and with intellectual rigor.

I think they want to have it both ways (until they get zotted, or if they don’t get zotted.) They go over there and talk about JR worse than you’d talk about a dog, then they come back here and act self-righteous like they have the moral high-ground. Many have accused Cruz of hypocrisy-—for example opposing gay marriage in flyover country but in rich gay fundraisers in NYC not mentioning ONE WORD about opposing it (but accepting their lucre, of course) So it fits.
JR has been the most tolerant person, far more tolerant than any of us would have been. Your concern is...misplaced. These people were spouting the most scurrilous invective about anyone who did not stand with them, THEN they started accusing Jim of financial malfeasance and other more personal attacks, besides regurgitating all the unrepeatable things the left has said since 2008 against the true conservative hero Sarah Palin. They have created a hate-site at a separate URL from which they can aim their vituperation at those here who disagree with them, who don’t support Goldman Sachs, Robert Mercer, Glenn Beck, five hundred thousand new H1-B visas, amnesty, open borders, and the North American Union, the GOPe and the Washington Political Insider Class.

That sentence to me raises a key point that I have attempted to make here before.
This county didn't get to where it is overnight, it has been a 100 year progression of the left. They have taken over our education system indoctrinating at least 3 generations of peoples who have now idea what the founding of this country is.
They have infiltrated every level of political office, alphabet agency, up to the Whitehouse including the muzzie brotherhood.
This is not going to change overnight, but like a ship, to make the turn you first have to change the attack of the rudder.
I believe Trump or Cruz can begin that rudder correction with the first victim being DC it self (the real cancer), but I think Trump more so.

My apologies..
I was very happy to see that your posting of an essay from some obscure blogger that denigrated both Sarah Palin and Track Palin was pulled yesterday. It’s one thing to go after Trump, he can take it. Going after a young man, a private citizen unknown to all of us, is another.
From the gitgo, Cruz was my 2nd choice, as it was for many of us Trumpsters. IMO, the Cruzers are the problem because of their rigidity of thought that their candidate Ted is the only true conservative. And too many Cruzers get hostile if anyone thinks otherwise. And they attack Trump personally and frequently. And now they want to pick up their marbles and leave. So much for open debate.
This election primary would have been a disaster without Trump being a candidate. Plus it would have been soooo boring. Trump has energized us all, bless his soul and has put the fight back into conservatism. We are going to save it and our Country via Trump. Look what he has accomplished just by being a candidate. No more tolerance for PC, immigration issues now at the forefront, Muzzie/terrorist behavior no longer stomached, Obamacare unacceptable. I could go on with other issues that are being debated too that most likely wouldn’t have been spotlighted without Trump having brought them up.
Trump is a godsend. Sometimes an imperfect vehicle is chosen to deliver an important and necessary message. Trump is the imperfect yet perfect man to do this at the right time in history. I shudder to think where we would be right now without him. Probably saddled with Jeb Bush as our Presidential candidate. Think about that folks. The horror.
I am a YUUUGE fan of opus threads. People have been kind enough to direct me to the good ones. I’m even preparing my own for when I get to ninety and can’t work the keyboard anymore! It’s gonna be a doozy.
