Poll: Donald Trump gained 15 points on Ted Cruz in Iowa in two weeks
Washington Post ^ | January 24, 2016 | Phillip Bump

Earlier this month, Fox News released a poll showing Ted Cruz leading Donald Trump by four points. The two had a sizable lead over everyone else in the state, and the poll was confirming what others were showing: Cruz had an advantage.

On Sunday, Fox released another Iowa poll, with substantially different results. Now, Trump is up by 11 points, a 15-point swing in the two weeks between surveys. This poll, too, mirrors the recent trend: Trump has regained the advantage.

One part Palin, one part Beck, and one part birth certificate.

When I saw the ARG IA poll that said that 46% of Iowa Republicans thought “SOMEONE BORN OUTSIDE THE US SHOULDN’T BE PRESIDENT”-—note, that’s a lot stronger than the “natural born citizen thing”-—and at the same time only 32% of Iowa Republicans knew Cruz had been born in Canada?? Well, I knew Ted was in for a big, big slide. I didn’t know he’d completely lose the lead, but I knew it would hurt because that info would get out.

That “silly” issue of Ted’s Canadianess isn’t so silly it seems.

Just shows you the power of the National Review.

On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is a 2-volt battery and 10 is the 22.5 billion-watt generator at the Three Gorges Dam, the National Review rates a .000001

And that is being generous.

Camp Cruz has 2,000 volunteers sleeping over. True coolaid drinkers.

I know Cruz org. is great, but Trump rallies turn away thousands every place he goes. Cruz people say Trumps people won’t take the time to show up. Meanwhile they show up hours ahead of events so they will get into the venue rather than be turned away. This means standing in the freezing cold, snow or rain. Trump’s people haven’t cared about all the Me Gyn Kelly’s, Rich Lowry’s, Erik Dickhead Dickmeson nasty anti Trump stuff, Trumps just keeps going up in the polls. Trump’s people are loyal.

I say they mostly show up, Iowa has by far the biggest turnout, and that gives Trump a kind of a mandate to breeze to the nomination. If Trump get the 1,000 or so delegate to sow this up the GOP Elite Establishment can’t have a brokered convention or do what Boss Hogg Barbour did rob an election.

One more week and one more chance for HO Me Gyn Crowley Kelly to try to damage Trump. I am sure Trump has 2 dozen different answers for Me Gyn The HO.

I have been for Cruz for over a year, but it’s time to admit that Trump is going to run away with this thing - and the general election. The numbers of Reagan democrats and apathetic voters that are supporting him combined with the likelihood that Hillary will have charges recommended against her (and is under investigation for corruption - and she sucks as a candidate) is making a landslide election a real possibility.

It will be interesting when the polls come out next Sunday, the day before the caucus.

The most interesting of all is the actual caucus results.

My prediction:

Trump 38
Cruz 29

Doesn’t surprise me. Democrats are going to Trump because their candidates are awful. Democrats know Trump is a Democrat at heart and always has been. If he wins, he will govern as a Big Government expansionist. Different president, same pen and phone running the country and the same loss of Liberty.

At least Cruz pays back his loans. Trump declares bankruptcy so he doesn’t have to pay back his loans.

If the FBI director want to indite and Lynch and Obama won’t then there is an insurrection in the FBI. Lots of facts will be leaked.

So Hillary still beats Bernie, and even though Obama can keep her out of a trial, she will be tried in the court of public opinion and in Trump’s commercials.

And if they bring in Biden from the Bullpen so to speak, then women and the other Hillary voters will feel cheated.
Remember Democrats are used to voting for law breakers.

The Chicago way is the corrupt way.

So now we have FOX as well as CNN producing polls this week that show 300,000 Iowans are voting in the Iowa Caucuses, and therefore Trump with a double-digit lead. Allow me to put those projected turnout numbers in perspective:

Like I said before....polls are crap.

And three parts ethanol, shaken, not stirred.

It’s called restructuring and is a way to keep a business going without paying interest on the loans. Done all the time in big businesses. Look it up. It’s not the type of bankruptcy you think it is. Very complicated. If you don’t have studies in economics it may be over your head.

Start with Google and then a good business book

I truly say this respectfully to the Trump opponents.

Saying yet one more time that Trump is a liberal or that he has had four bankruptcies or that the Clintons went to his wedding, etc etc etc, is not helping your cause. It has been said over and over and over. It has been factored in.

Saying it yet one more time has long since stopped being notable except how it relates to how people respond to hearing a constant repetition of the same phrases.

I support Trump but would love to see some thoughtful posts on why Cruz could beat Hillary (or Biden) and why he would be a good president.
