From the Connecticut Post. Quote:

The mother, in addressing the Board of Education, said her son was not taken out of school “because of discipline” or “ill behavior” (but) “because the principal ... was allowed to be irrational and make an impulsive decision.”

She maintained on the recording that her son “did not breach any of the codes of conduct, did not misbehave; the thing that he was alleged was not even founded. It was not true.”

She said that “if it had been founded, it was also an exercise ... of his ... rights to be able to say what he needs to say. He never threatened anybody, he never harmed anyone ...”

She further claimed her son was removed from Ansonia High School because the “educational environment ... became hostile.”

She repeated that while her son has never been “aggressive, hostile, disrespectful, a threat to anyone in a school environment, (the issue) is now pushed through the federal investigation.”

Carmen Pitney, the president of the Board of Education, informed the mother during the meeting that the boy’s pronouncement “was verified by other students and that is why the principal and the officer had to take action.”

I disagree that it constitutes “no danger to the community.”

Good. ISIS is pure evil and endangers each of us. Anyone showing the slightest bit of alliance or allegiance should be removed. Period. Pure evil has no place in a civilized society.

"Police said there is no danger to the community."

QUERY

How can we tell when someone or something related to Islam is a real potential danger to the community?

When the authorities immediately assure us that the person or incident is not a danger to the community.

I think it would be a good bet that he was just trying to show how cool he was to his fellow students in a rebellious way.

But school authorities would have no choice but to take it seriously.

Most likely he was pulled from school to keep him from getting put into the hospital. Ansonia is a old factory town and very patriotic (old-school democratic-union). The high school wasn’t known as an exceptional school for education but they are sports-happy, especially football. As this is a minor we don’t know if it was a gag or intentional but I will assume that what the school board did was prudent. The parents will have to suffer the consequences of the child’s actions.
