If you consider that a six point lead is only 3 points plus one vote needed to flip, it’s a lot closer.

I want everyone to know, the lead could change with participation.

I appreciate your point, and I understand the thinking behind it. It wasn’t off base to address it.

Depends on the margin of error. If it’s +/- 3% it could be tied at 48 or it could be 54 - 41 then it would be substantial.

Actually, it is utterly insignificant if you're talking about the Freerepublic Caucus of only 200-300 votes. In a poll of 60,000 respondents, it is much more meaningful. In a national election of 100,000,000 votes, it is substantial. In statistics, sample size is extremely important.
