This looking down your nose crap is another reason why so many are giving you guys the finger this election.

AFTER he was elected Senator, is he sure he could even do that? Have the people of Texas made sure it isn’t illegal to run a Canadian for a Senator????

Oops! Meant that about Trump! Not Cruz! How could I make such a mistake!

Re: I think he (TRUMP!) would make a very entertaining press secretary. That is, once he receives some serious schooling on foreign policy.

Cruz is a Natural Born Canadian Citizen and a USA citizen.

While he has RECENTLY disowned Canada as his mother country, it doesn't change the facts first written.

The fact that he came here at age 4...means nothing....he could have come at 14, 24 34 or 43 1/2.....Nothing shanges the original facts.

Trump said that Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship. Check out the quote. The part about “Prime Minister” was humorous sarcasm. I don’t know why people has such a hard time reading what’s written.

In any case, had Cruz not renounced, and depending on Canadian law, he WAS born in Canada, and he might well qualify as a candidate for Prime Minister. I don’t know their law, IF he had not renounced.

Cnn wrongly called Cruz a “natural born citizen”. The law doesn’t say that anymore. It says citizen at birth. Cruz is a citizen at birth and our legal system is viewing that as equivalent to natural born citizen. Scotus has not ruled on that, so it’s up in the air.

All that aside, the American public appears to care that Cruz was born in Canada. Different polls say 10-30% of the people say it will prevent their voting for him.

RE: or does or did osama bin laden, what is your point?

My point is he can only do what he can to qualify for Presidency -— His SOLE ALLEGIANCE. And he has.

Now, you mentioned Osama Bin Ladin and the circumstances of his birth, he CAN CONTROL his allegiance too — by renouncing Jihad.

We can only be responsible for what we do, not for circumstances beyond our control.

By the way, when is the last time Trump has engaged in any meaningful thought on any issues? Rambling soundbites excluded.

Trump is a businessman, and a patriot. He is smart and savvy. He will hire the Best and The Brightest to advise, just like a smart businessman. People love him because he tells the truth and does not engage “in any meaningful thought”..a sharp contrast to Cruz, who is just another politician who tells you what you want to hear..

Congress is scared of Trump..he is going to hold them accountable for a change. Cruz is just more of the same..and they know it,..yawn.

re>Cruz is not a citizen of Canada.

You are correct 2 years ago Cruz a NATURAL BORN CANADIAN renounced his citizenship. Trump technically was wrong.

No...to the contrary...its called finding a weak spot and continue to exploit it...Right or wrong, Cruz cannot refute it without a judgment to the contrary. Regardless of what any “legal scholar” says, either way, it is a question until decided, officially. Everything else is pure opinion and speculation.

His SOLE ALLEGIANCE. And he has.

So let me understand this, cruz waited until the last possible minute to renounce his Canadian citizenship so he could run for POTUS. And that demonstrates cruz's SOLE ALLEGIANCE to America? My take was that cruz was keeping his options open because he has dual allegiances and did not want to limit his options in the future. Hard to know for sure one way or the other, why risk it?

Oh my goodness...get over it. It is a political campaign that they’re both running to win. Cruz’s attacks are just as bad. It’s politics! This is nothing...wait until the attacks on the nominee from the left and the media. This will pale in comparison.

RE: So let me understand this, cruz waited until the last possible minute to renounce his Canadian citizenship so he could run for POTUS.

Yes he did. I know what you’re trying to drive at — he’s an opportunist doing this only because he desired the Presidency.

Of course, the other plausible explanation -— that this never even crossed his mind until he decided that he was the best man for the job should not be considered.

Some might not want to risk it. I personally will.

If past performance is any indication of the future, I’ll take him over someone like Hillary.

RE: love to see Cruz try to build a 60 story luxury building in a year and a half,,

Be careful what you wish for. The above ability is not necessarily an indicator of a good leader.

Mussolini made the trains ran on time.

Obama promised to transform America and in a sense, he did.

He didn’t have to. the first time he voted in the USA his
Canadian citizenship terminated.

****************

Does that mean if those that cross the Southern border and somehow vote
automatically terminate the citizenship from down south?

Remember Ted Cruz just renounced his Canadian citizenship in 2014 but was elected senator in 2012.

we’re not voting for debater in chief, we’re voting for a commander in chief, in perhaps one of the most dangerous times in our nation’s history. Besides bona fides and record, there are many intangibles that come in to play with strength and leadership...and debate skills is not one of them. Trump went to an Ivy League school, he’s made billions in a tough cut throat business...he’s not stupid. Loud, obnoxious, rude, unrefined? Yes...but a proven record of getting things done and showing strength and clarity of vision. Just look at how he’s run his campaign. Practically in the lead since the day he’s announced and hasn’t looked back. Absolutely bulldozed the field. Took out long serving accomplished professional politicians. Focus, drive, energy and the ability to get things done.

Trump is really sounding desperate (Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship). Trump must have internal polling data that’s really bad.

Nah. Your post sounds more desperate than Trump ever has.

"He's just gotta be trailing now, r-right? Wait, no public polls say that... it must be the internals!"
