Two big rallys today in Iowa that I thought we'd keep on one thread.
These two places are similar. They are both very small and of Dutch Heritage. Dutch is spoken here. The religion is mainly Protestant.
Hmmm. Now which candidate brags about being Protestant?
In short, Trump is in friendly territory.
The first is in Sioux Center, IA @ 11:00 am (CST)@ Dordt College - BJ Haan Auditorium
The second will be Pella, IA @ 2:30 pm (CST) @ Central College - Douwstra Auditorium
If Donald Trump is elected our next president, this day in these two little Iowan towns will be remembered for a long long time.
Is Trump Dutch or GErman?
Hahahahaha. Do they come in black? I can wear them with my scrubs.
Are they comfortable?
Ahhhh. Just like the good ole’ days with Mom and Granny chopping wood...
Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in the borough of Queens in New York City. He is the fourth of five children to Mary Anne (nee MacLeod; 1912-2000), a homemaker and philanthropist and Fred Trump (1905-1999), who worked as a real estate developer. His mother was born at Tong on the Scottish island of Lewis. In 1930, aged 18, she visited the United States and met Fred Trump. They were married in 1936...
Trump’s father was born in Woodhaven, Queens, to German immigrant parents, Elizabeth (Christ) and Frederick Trump... Frederick emigrated to the United States in 1885. His family surname was originally Drumpf, but this was changed to Trump in the 17th century...

Bwahahah! Perfect! Eat your heart out, Liberals!
German His great grandfather died young (they gre and Brew). She sent her young son to become a barbar to increase family income When the young men started being sent to the front line as cannon fodder, she sent Freidrich to american. NYC to stay with family. The city was had an over abundance of Barbars so he headed west to Seattle and eventually to the trail leading to the Yukon where his first restaurant sold hit coffee and stew made from the dead horses along the trail.
Mine is chopped and stacked. Just have to fill a two wheel cart and drag it in. Easy today the snow isn’t deep Good exercise!
What’s in a name?
Looks like Drumpf refers to a trumpeter, or a guy who “toots his own horn.”

Isn’t refreshing that you have a president where everything about the man and his background is there?
Biographers are going to have a field day, as opposed to Obama where they’re not worth reading, because you can get past the falsehood of the first chapters. No one knows?
I thought I read that Trump’s great grandfather made a fortune in the Yukon Klondike?
BTW, are you fixin’? to have fun today watching Trump rallys? I thought it would be better from here on out to just lump into one, because we usually keep talking in between them anyway.
That would be better than this...
“A rose by any other name...” :)
He did make quite a bit but it started with a tent restaurant along the trail He then returned to Germany to find a bride then back to NYC Died young (probably spanish flu) left a widow with three chikdren. The oldest Fred (11) was Donald’s father. She sent him to trade school while still in high school. He worked weekends They flipped houses ( mom signing paper work cause Fred was too young He provided labor). Together they educated sister (bookkeeperbanker) and uncle John (the MIT guy who worked with radar WWII /radiation treatments ) who DonAld J brags about.
You betcha
Here is a link to part of the press conference we missed the other day.
