A new film about the marriage of Hillary Clinton's closest aide to a former Congressman mired in sex scandals was cut under pressure from the Democratic presidential candidate's associates, it has been alleged.
The documentary, Weiner, premieres at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday and highlights the fraught relationship between Huma Abedin, Mrs Clinton's confidante, and her husband, Anthony Weiner, as his bid to become New York mayor unravels over sex texting revelations.
However, the 90-minute film provoked political controversy even before it was publicly screened after the Hollywood Reporter claimed that scenes had been edited out showing Mrs Clinton's associates pressuring Ms Abedin to leave her husband.
"Multiple parties who viewed early cuts of the documentary say Clinton's team is seen trying to pressure Abedin to immediately cut ties with Weiner, fearing the scandal will hurt the secretary of state's bid for the White House," the magazine reported on its website.
"The footage is said to offer the kind of rare window into the cutthroat machinations of a presidential campaign that is typically reserved for such fictitious shows as House of Cards."
But Josh Kriegman, one of the two documentary's two directors, denied that Clinton's team appeared in the film, the report continued, "raising the question of whether it has been edited to expunge any fodder for the Republican Party".

Were the cuts made under the threats of Arkancide, killing the film-maker’s cat, or slashing the pretty legs of a jogging film producer?
If you can find the copies of “The Daily News”, and “The New York Post” of that timeframe, the references were well already in newsprint!

I would have told them to go to hell.
But don’t underestimate the Democrats for voting for the sleazy slug. They are “win at all costs” and integrity and truth mean nothing.
