Iowa CNN/ORC poll: Full results

"....The sample includes 266 who were likely to participate in the Republican presidential caucus and 280 who were likely to participate in the Democratic presidential caucus....."

[Below is the headline for "HEADLINE NEWS" but buried at the bottom]:

Trump grabs double-digit lead in Iowa pol

"............The CNN/ORC poll of 266 likely GOP caucus-goers was conducted Jan. 15-20 via telephones with a margin of error of 6 percentage points.

Three recent polls in the state have shown more malleability in the race between the two front-runners, with one finding Cruz with a 2-point edge and two others putting Trump up by either 1 point or 6 points.

Nearly half of respondents in the latest CNN/ORC poll, 49 percent, said they have "definitely decided" on a candidate, while 22 percent are leaning toward one and 28 percent are undecided."

*********

It's interesting in the Dec 2015 CBB/ORC poll the Republican sample was 522.

Radio host Steve Deace, who has endorsed Cruz and is well-versed with the political scene in Iowa, explained on Twitter that the current polls likely understate Cruz's support:

Steve Deace, that effeminate whiny beta-male, first told with all seriousness that Falwell would endorse Trump on that Tuesday night but that he probably was having "second thoughts" and would abandon Trump. Then Deace told us that "little birdies" told him it was definitely Falwell. Then Deace started to accept that it was Palin who would endorse, and immediately began retweeting people who explained that Palin was actually a member of the establishment all this time.

Steve Deace is an irrational Cruzbot incapable of any analysis. He's as bad as some Freepers.

CNN/ORC outlier?

I'm sure you wish it to be.

Cruz has declined in three of the past four Iowa polls. You tell me which is the outlier.

It’s pretty likely that Cruz will be finished after Iowa one way or the other.

the CNN poll implies a turnout of about 320K in the Iowa GOP caucus, versus ~120K in 2012.

The constant bashing and lack of class by the hardcore trumpees still amazes me. Like their leader they think this makes them “great”? Superior to any who doesn’t support their guy? Able to admit a single fault of donnie? No. Will trash Cruz for the most ridiculous petty things? Always.
Appreciate the poll info. Had not seen it.

They left out a 4th new Iowa poll...with Trump surging to a 10 point lead. Oops.

“EYES ON IOWA: TRUMP AND CLINTON SURGE 10 DAYS BEFORE THE CAUCUS. CRUZ AND SANDERS FALTERING

In a new, statewide Iowa poll, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have surged to 9 and 10 point leads in Iowa with just 10 days before the first in the nation voting begins. Clinton receives 52% of the vote and Sanders at 43%. Trump leads his Republican rivals with 33%, followed by Ted Cruz at 23%, Marco Rubio (14%), and Ben Carson (9%) round out the top four with the rest of field under 6%; Rick Santorum — who won the 2012 Iowa GOP Caucus with 25% of the vote — has less than 1% of Iowans this time around, and Mike Huckabee who won the 2008 Iowa Caucus is at 2%.”

You really should go into the textile business for all the spinning you do.

Here are very simple facts: the more Cruz “gains” the further behind he gets.

*Since the debate, 12-—count em, 12-—IA polls have come out. The record? Trump leads in 9, Cruz in 2. One is a tie. It is quite clear to any but a rabid partisan that Cruz is slipping, and badly, in his one and only hope.

*Crus now trails on the RCP IA avg. by 2.6.

*Deace and Kerpen cleverly avoid mentioning the OTHER 10-point Trump poll yesterday, Emerson College. Turnout isn’t a factor in that one and Trump leads in that by . . . Wait for it. . . 5 points AFTER the margin of error.

*Had RCP included Emerson in its average, that rises to about 4-5 points. Uh oh.

*So even IF Keroen’s questionable math is accurate and IF one buys that Cruzers mysteriously turn out at much higher rates than Trump’s people, Trump is still already right at the 5% lead Kerpen says he needs.

Doesn’t really matter, since Iowa is a proportional state. So one gets 1 delegate more than the other. The winner-talk-all states are what will make the difference.

Thanks so much for the link... you agree with me though I am sure that MSM is only running with the CNN poll right now, as if the 2 other polls plus CNN true pic are not being mentioned... In fairness to CNN John King he was somewhat honest about the CNN poll and cautioned people... he is not as bad as some at CNN

FOX this second just had Harris Faulkner saying nothing but a double digit lead for Trump, no mention of the other 2 + 1 poll

Even Hannity last night only showed 2 very favorable polls of Trump... not everybody follows as closely as you and I, the masses are still swayed by MSM, so the effect of repeating these bad Cruz polls over and over may be the benefit for Trump they are after

PRAY :)
