It's a serious question. What's he going to do when Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell tell him to go to hell? Is he going to tell them they are liars on television and then call into Mark Levin's show and whine? Being President doesn't work like that.
Is he going to be like President Obama and try to use executive orders to ram his legislation through?
Compare that to Trump's approach from Art of the Deal where he asks for 3x more than what he wants, completely disorients his competitors and shakes the ground beneath everyone, and then gets what he wants.
Maybe banning all Muslims to the country isn't realistic. But surely banning Syrian refugees and hell all refugees until we figure out what the hell is going on isn't a radical position right now. It was a radical idea before Trump. That's Art of the Deal.

You mean Trump would “reach across the aisle” like the RINOs are doing now? What if “doing deals” is the wrong thing to do? Was it McConnell who was bragging about all the legislation they’d passed recently? How much of that was actually good for America and how much of it was good for the Dems?
Cruz has always been my first choice, and up until recently I was pretty cool with Trump; but lately he’s started to say things that are...unsettling.
I admire Trump for his self-confidence, but I’m afraid he might be starting to believe his own PR.

Unfortunately the only way I can see Trump or Cruz getting anything from congress is if the Trump-Democrats cause so much trouble for the rats at town hall meetings.

Why did Obama get so much done to f—k up this country under a GOP congress? Because the GOP in congress is 90% liberal and that should be far more concerning.

Cruz is a lone voice of reason, in a wilderness of cowards, who refuse to uphold their oath to defend our nation from all enemies.
They are not fools. Trump will sweep in with massive numbers of independents and Republicans voting for him. To go against him in Congress is to go against them. To go against them means that whomever goes against Trump will likely be kicked out of office by those voters the next time around.
Remember, the majority of all politicians on all levels ALWAYS TEST THE WIND before they vote. The most important thing in their lives is to be able to live in luxury and benefit from graft and corruption. To ensure that type of life they need to “ go with the wind “ and to go against Trum will endanger their careers of corruption and the good life.
In summation: They won’t rebel against him.

Trump’s supporters have no idea what they will get with Donald Trump because they have no understanding of the man’s core philosophy. They are chasing shiny objects.
Granted, we don’t really know what we will be getting but ANYTHING is better than any career politician who like stones in a riverbed has been polished in the ways of deceit, corruption, lies and manipulation of private business to ensure a following of those he has “ given a leg up “ in business.
The golden rule of politics is that you tell the voters what they want to hear and they will vote for you. Do the opposite and they will not vote for you. Once in office you can do what you want and the most amazing thing is that if you don’t carry out your promises, simply repeat them again and they (the lemmings) will vote for you again expecting a different result.
The election this time around is either going to save our heritage and lifestyle of the past or we will give the key to the gates of hell to all who hate America and the way of life and freedoms we have enjoyed since the Constitution and Bill of Rights was established.
At this point in history our political process and those in it have become so corrupt that we need a totally different leader that comes from the private sector and not the cesspool of lies, corruption and downright deceit. Trump is that man.

What I want is EVERY Executive Order, Memorandum and Policy retracted, erased, killed rescinded. I want a President that will undo everything Obama has done as Imperial Dictator. I want every US Attorney in this country fired, the whole damn lot of political appointees fired, the ranks of Senior Executives in the State Department sent to BF Alaska and forced into retirement. Every Cabinet Secretary and their seconds perp walked out of the building, and EVERY member of the Joint Chiefs, the entire general staff rigidly examined.
In summation, undo everything this Muslim has done for the last 7 years wherever possible. That’s enough for me.
