Palin's complicated relationship with GOP leaders over the past eight years is a microcosm of the party's broader struggles with its most restive members. What started with an embrace by party leaders evolved into wary tolerance, followed by a potentially irreparable split.
So it's perhaps little surprise that Palin is re-emerging on the national political scene at this moment of reckoning for Republicans. While she's hardly the conservative kingmaker she once was, Palin remains a favorite of the tea party insurgency, and her endorsement of Donald Trump for the 2016 GOP nomination gives him an added boost of conservative, anti-establishment credibility.
"He's been going rogue left and right," Palin said Tuesday, with a beaming Trump standing by her side. "He's been able to tear the veil off this idea of the system."

“Maybe so, but I think this gives her too much credit”
Silly, but that’s what can come out when your head explodes.
(Not yours, the writer’s)
Oh well. It had to happen sometime.
Well said. America is bring run into the ground by the unacknowledged one-party system. That system must be broken.
Cruz is a great Conservative, and I'd prefer him as President. He's denounced the one-party system very clearly and precisely. He doesn't fill freezing stadiums, but if he gets the nomination he'll get the spotlight, and the stadiums will follow.
But I'll allow that if Trump wins the nomination he already has the momentum and the self-funded ground-game that would allow him to break the grip that RINOs and the Left have over your nation.
Trump is a poor Conservative but a great hammer.
“The Cruzers are apoplectic! Wailing and gnashing of teeth”
Right. It is similar to how most Freepers were when Obama was being pushed in office and the gullible were fawning over him. Now half of FR is fawning over their own phony liberal conman and they are attacking a conservative. I suppose since it is the GOP’s phony liberal conman, it all fine.
Exactly. What, ‘Conservative’ GOP? Cruz’s TPA, make them legal, Corker Amendment, H1-B1, Conservatism?
I agree with you....she’s just a distraction and will be forgotten before the votes are counted.
I like the discussion Trump is causing. But, I don’t care for his support of ethanol and amnesty.

Yep.
It (TPP)has not even been passed.
This article originated with the Associated Propaganda outlet.
Man! Does the AP ever hate the United States of America as founded!
The immortal Mark Steyn just released this awesome article on America’s one-party system, and why the voters are throwing it out into the cold.

“Authority lies in those to whom it applies.”
meaning
Nobody has that kind of authority unless you allow them to influence you.
makes Palin look like a complete fool.

I’m not a Palin fan by a long shot. But The Art of the Deal is to get things accomplished
and Palin understands that you can’t get everything you want. Besides that the USA is made
up of many differing groups and thus each one has piriorties. Keep the economy growing,
secure the borders, provide safety/security and let the people live their lives as they see fit.
Don’t try to cram them all into one sector.
Palin’s speeches have become senseless. Read the transcript of her endorsement of Trumpâ¦.What the hell is she talking about? Even Trump was embarrassed.
I’m concerned about having a strong constitutionalist right now, because the constitution is dead, my enemy does not follow it, and if we try to go back to strict interpretation now that we may get power, we are simply tying our own hands. The constitution is not a suicide pact.
Sort of. There’s a GOPe and a Conservative GOP, but while Trump may turn out to be Liberal the new division we’re seeing is pure GOP Anti-establishment. Not just against the GOPe but also the Democrat/Liberal/Progressive Establishment as well.
Trump is riding, no, *surfing* that anti-establishment wave.
Donald, like Obama, doesn’t want to discuss anything...he’s fires a salvo then runs.
I just want to know what she was privately promised. Used to believe in her conservatism, now I feel she is “all about the money.”
Donating to a Karl Rove PAC to attack Constitutionaist candidates is a bridge too far. I cannot justify that as an attempt to make a deal.
That shows that Trump has no core ideals, except making a deal and winning, no matter what. It also shows that Trumpnwill also turn against Constitutionalists after he is elected.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
