The best the Democrats can do is Bernie Sanders with an "I" by his name until he changed it to a "D" late last year? Not only was he an Independent , but a Socialist in congress for for over 17 years. With a record like that the question "What is the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist?" is sure to come up.
So far no Democrat, not even Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has been able to answer that question (even after the question is repeatedly asked). So the real question is whether the Democrat base is willing to vote for a Socialist that much.
He can't depend on Republican votes or hardly any Independents. Maybe he'll get a few votes here and there, but largely Americans won't vote for Socialism.
Speaking of Socialists, Hillary is bombing in the polls. She's being Trounced in New Hampshire and is loosing the female votes in droves. She charged Trump with Sexism and he fired back that she's an "Enabler". Her strategy backfired so badly, that beside her secret weapon (the sexual predator himself) that she had to deploy Chelsea. And her daughter stepped in the Doo Doo attacking the Bern over Obamacare. It seems Hillary is against the government being the single payer (Socialist Medicine) when she is secretly for it and now is trapped.
Not only that but her Email problem (Top Secret in the Mainstream Press) has become inditeable.
Martin O'Malley almost didn't make the SnoozeFest Debates cut.
So my question, dear Democrats, is Bernie the best you can do?

Bernie is the most honest Democrat there is.

Wish the rest of his Party would do likewise.
yes..... those who are wise know the Obama debacle will prevent a Democrat winner. Therefore, those with ambition are staying out of contention hoping for a better day.

Actually, it should have been a “C” for Communist. Vermont is nice place with one “population center,” (Burlington) that looks like a photograph from East Germany. Just a singularly drab place with bums in doorways the last time I visited. Bernie probably fits right in there. But I wonder too how they can just “make him a Democrat” as a matter of convenience for this election.
The Dems problem is not that their voters don’t agree with Bernie. Most of them do. It’s that he’s old and decrepit and does not look very good on TV.
ALL of their potential candidates have this problem as the mid-term blowouts of 2010 and 2014 have decimated their bench.
I predict they will eventually therefore draft George Clooney or some other suave, good-looking celebrity to run at the head of their ticket.
Democrats lie, and they start out the lies with the lie that they are DEMOCRATS. THEY ARE SOCIALISTS, not Democrats. Today, John F. Kennedy wouldn’t even be welcomed in the Democrat party.
I think that the dems have another obama up their sleeve. They’re playing this race close to their vest, just like 2008.

The only problem is that old “Bernie the Red” is far more electable than old “Hillary the Liar” But yes, it is odd that the D party hasn’t been able to come up with any better candidates — !!??

Credible rape charges against one of their ‘own’ doesn’t bother them. Women who lie to get extra college funding by pretending to be a minority doesn’t affect them. These are people who have lost their souls...
Bernie is the best they have to offer... and maybe ALL they have to offer.

I saw a ziggy stardust outline with glasses and white hair today on FB. The lettering spelled out, ch-ch-ch-changes (bernie) ((referencing the Bowie song)). It was posted by a mid-30’s female.
It made me lol because they are trying sooo hard to make Bernie hip. If he was a conservative we would never hear the end of how old and out of touch he is.
