Currently, Ted Cruz is trying to pose as an aw-shucks country lawyer, despite his elite connections. But the problem is that those connections are out there for all to see. And one of the most troubling is his wife Heidi, a Goldman Sachs investment manager who served on the task force which wrote the report on âBuilding a North American Community,â a direct attack on American independence.
It includes a recommendation to build a European Union style abolition of borders between Mexico and the United States.
Lay the groundwork for the freer flow of people within North America. The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the governmentsâ physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America. A long-term goal for a North American border action plan should be joint screening of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these travelers within North America. there was a time when a conservative whose wife was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations would have been embarassed for it even to be known
More importantly, Sen. Goldman Sachs Cruz
voted to allow the vote on SECRET ObamaTRADE
for Obama, foreign gov’ts, his past loans .... and his wife.
We all stopped supporting the typical
GOP=phoney Sen. Cruz that day.
I read somewhere that she was on this task force for FIVE years.
Why did you remove the first few sentences?
No that is some hardcore spin .. I bet you make money at it ... I bestow upon you the award for the biggest BS post of the day
This is all a lie too. The report calls for establishing inter-parliamentary organizations between the three countries to meet once every two years, working towards a goal of removing the visa system and all barriers to the free flow of "labor," the establishment of a single ID pass for Mexicans, Canadians and US Citizens to pass freely into each other's countries, and of course Free Trade on steroids, amongst many other horrible things.
JewishRighter, did you even bother to read the report before you shoveled this BS?
Well, if we’re trashing family can we talk about Fred Trump
PLEASE.
Sorry children, but any man who wears orange make up ain’t getting my vote.
Cruz is lying to his supporters when he depicts her as a conservative "dissident" voice on the CFR. Heidi Cruz is an open borders nutcase just like all the other members of the CFR. Why does Ted Cruz feel the need to lie to his supporters to cover this up if it's no big deal?
Dialup internet is rough isn't it.
You Trumpbots are really nuts. The format of the report places the quoted passage under the heading Additional and or Dissenting Views. She gave a perfunctory statement of support and then emphasized (I used the word emphasized to give even Trumpbots a clue that I was going to talk about what she emphasized) the importance of private markets. You might have heard that emphasis on private markets is a kind of conservative view of how things should work.
Of course, you Trumpbots pick on these absolutely stupid points because it sure beats trying to explain away Trump’s outrageously anti-conservative record, his spectacular inconsistency, his past support and praise for Hillary and Bill Clinton and his generally thuggish behavior. But let’s talk about a wonky 2005 report the candidate’s wife had some small role in. Yeah, that’s important. You are all morphing into little Paul Begalas and James Carvilles. Sick.
Apparently she has some of those NY Values old Ted criticizes so much.
Sleeping with the enemy. ;-)
Melania Trump, 45, was born and raised in Sevnica, Slovenia to parents Viktor and Amalija Knavs
Document from the Slovenian State Archives that her father was a listed member of the League of Communists
Before the break-up of socialist Yugoslavia in the 1990s, Slovenia was just one part of the Communist country, a dictatorship under Marshall Tito, and a satellite state of Soviet Russia.
And, as a document from the Slovenian State Archives shows, her father Viktor Knavs was a listed member of the League of Communists. Her mother Amalija Ulcnik was not listed as a member.
Read her dissent, sounded more like an endorsement, but said IMO the private sector should be the driving force. Nowhere did I see Goldman Sachs mentioned. Why do you feel the need to embellish it with what’s not there. A IMO would have been more credible.
Not sure of this approach, don’t like the open borders, but I’ve always thought that really the only way it to make it more cost effective to them to stay in their own country, is to cut off the goodies here. Just building a wall is not enough.
Says the retard who tried to spin the report as a conservative document, not at all EU-ish, but now has changed his tune a little.
She gave a perfunctory statement of support
Support for what? "The report and its recommendations." What is the report and its recommendations? Hint: A North American Union.
You might have heard that emphasis on private markets is a kind of conservative view
If she had advocated for Secure Borders over a Free Market, she'd actually be conservative. Advocating for open borders but a "free market" is just pandering to her Corporatist and Bankster Overlords.
Yes, that's Ted Cruz's brand of Conservatism. It's not MY conservatism. Guess I'm too American to support Cruz conservatism.
“Husbands and Wives usually share common ideals and goals . . .”
Which of Trump’s several wives does he most share common ideals and goals?
When he voted for TPA and wrote the joint article in the WSJ with Paul Ryan strongly advocating for it.
That and the Corker Bill sealed it for me.
The man is not patriotic as I understand it.
