Bush can find his voice again by trying to save the Republicans from Donald Trump.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is now calling Donald Trump "a jerk" in television ads in Iowa and New Hampshire in the stretch run to the opening of primary season. This is a stark change from the beginning of his candidacy where he talked about running a "joyful campaign." He may be six months too late.
In mid August 2015, two different speeches by Trump and Bush gave an indication of what Bush could expect in an election season dominated by the businessman. While Bush was at the Reagan Library in California talking in great policy detail about the mess in Iraq and Syria, Trump offered white-hot populism in front of a raucous crowd in Michigan by taking on immigrants, the Ford Motor Company, Mexico, the media and Bush himself. In many ways, Bush is a perfect foil for Trump's message that the current political system is broken and a politically incorrect outsider is what the nation needs.

He had a plan, and in the right circumstance it might have worked.
Use crossover Dem votes to defeat a big field of candidates each getting a small slice of the votes. Dems would support Bush to install the softest target for November.
Unfortunately, the R race has quickly been reduced to a small number AND Dems are probably going to vote in their own primaries now with Hill & Burney having a good contest.

Rove and Priebus are on to Plan B which is to have Cruz ruled ineligible and steal his delegates and hand them over to Bush at the convention.

Supposedly according to RNC rules, Rove and Priebus can rule Cruz ineligible whenever they feel like it for the “good of the party”.

I am getting more convinced that Bush was never a serious candidate to begin with. With all the baggage that comes from his name and family ties, he would have had a hard time winning even if he was the perfect candidate.
That ought to do it.
