She had to either jet home or otherwise spend some time dealing with the arrest of her son. ‘Track’ punched his girlfriend in the face and threatened suicide. Also got a weapons charge.

The other theory is her endorsement speech was so painful, the Trump campaign got the big hook out.

Palin tweeted about 20 minutes ago that she’s on her way with Donald Trump to Oklahoma, despite the nasty rumor mongering by nasty people like Don-O.

Palin had to go back to Alaska to bail her loser son out of jail.
Sarah walked away from the governor’s position because 18 lawsuits had been filed against her as governor. She and Todd were looking at losing everything just to defend her.
During the last days or months of her governorship the legislature passed a bill that pays for these types of situations from tax revenues but the bill did not come into effect until a change of governor and it did not apply to her.
The decision to resign was a good decision, protecting her family.
I would have done the same thing. And so would have most of those who deride her.
