The Rev. Al Sharpton vowed Tuesday to organize a national "tune out" of the Oscars for its failure for the second year in a row to nominate a single black actor or director for an award.
Sharpton's National Action Network said it plans to work with activists and advocacy groups in hopes that Americans "will turn off anything that does not represent the broad cultural and diverse contributions of American entertainment."

I might actually watch this year, just to see whether and how Chris Rock addresses the controversy.
I’m betting the organizers have found God and are praying that Rock joins the boycott. Having to bring in Doogie Howser, Space Nazi, to host again is MUCH less of a risk.

I’ve been boycotting the Oscars for decades.
So sick of their left-wing partisan drivel.
So now everyone is required to watch movies with black stars in them.......and like them.......a lot.

I once had a landlord by the name of Oscar. He was a white man. Burned his own house, my rental, down one winter. He was trying to thaw frozen water pipes with a blow torch. Wasn’t long before all the pipes were thawed and the house was a smoldering ruin. That was my only experience with an Oscar.
In this case, Jewish and Caucasian Hollywood.

The last time the blacks threw a fit over the Oscars, the Academy wound up giving an Oscar to Whoopie Goldberg for Ghost.
She was great in Ghost though.
Now this is a boycott I can get behind. Of course, I haven't watched the Oscars in years.
