As soon as the Motorhead guy died, I figured more would follow. These rock/celebrity deaths always seem to happen in bunches. They just keep on dying, these music people. If the pace comes up, soon there will be nobody alive making music. In addition to Lemmy not coming down for breakfast anymore, David Bowie will no longer be swinging, or whatever it was he did while he was here on Earth. Hopefully they have a Ziggy Stardust outfit wherever it was he went. That was always my favorite Bowie phase. When I was just a young lad, I wanted to paint my hair red and wear boots with 14 inch platform heels. Now you have this Eagles guy dead. The Eagles never did get much respect. Even when they were in their prime, they had a reputation for lame rock. Like the songs "Desperado", "Heartache Tonight" and "The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks."

Now "Hotel California" was an awesome song. The most listenable and timeless Eagles song ever recorded. It was epic. All those other Eagles songs are annoying to listen to. I was watching the movie "The Big Lebowski" and that "Dude" character did not like the Eagles on bit. I'm with him there. But it's too bad this Glen Frey guy died. He died of things I can't pronounce and so that is never a good way to go. Post Eagles, the big Glen Frey hits were "The Heat Is On" and "You Belong To The City." Forgettable pop from the mid 1980s. What can I say? I'd love to sit here and say I loved the music of Glen Frey but I cannot say that. I can say that about David Bowie however. He had dozens of great timeless songs and my favorite one of that bunch was "Diamond Dogs" with "Space Oddity" a close number two.

All these people who have died in music, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, that guy who drummed in the band I can't remember, then you have that Scott Weiland, who played in Stone Temple Pilots, he was pretty good but he died. Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, Linda Ronstadt, Natalie Cole, Robert Stigwood and in fact pretty much all the BeeGees are now dead, including Andy, who will always look like he's 22 years old. It's just crazy how fast they are all dying.

Probably in their heyday in the 70s most people who liked the Eagles, probably couldn’t have told you the names of the guys in the band.

How many bands no longer have any living members?

The Ramones are the only one I can think of.

Linda is still very much alive, for now - although she is battling Parkinson’s .... She can no longer sing b/c of the disease.
