Portland Community College has designated April "Whiteness History Month" (WHM), an "educational project" exploring how the "construct of whiteness" creates racial inequality.
"'Whiteness History Month: Context, Consequences, and Change' is a multidisciplinary, district-wide, educational project examining race and racism through an exploration of the construction of whiteness, its origins, and heritage," PCC states on its website. "Scheduled for the month of April 2016, the project seeks to inspire innovative and practical solutions to community issues and social problems that stem from racism."

They should better hold a “Nothing On Our Minds, Nothing Worthwhile to Communicate Month”

I have confronted these reverse racists fascist beofore.
I simply remind them that I was not alive when the various wrongs were perpetrated against black people, and on top of that , did not even live in the location where any of it happened.

Well it is a community college after all. They house kids who barely passed high school and everyone gets accepted. So for easy entrance you get crap like this. Perhaps they needed to do better in high school and go to a real school. You get what you earned.

If one is born in the USA, then you won life’s lottery.
If you have parents who stay together and put everything they have into raising a family, then you are going to have a solid chance at success.
Way down the list you can whine about how much money you were born into, and what ethnic group you are, but why?

So just the fact that I exist as a white person creates inequality? Why should I be ashamed that I’m a productive member of society who worked hard in school, at my job, stayed married to the mother of my children, am a strong influential and involved father to those children. I’m not really looking to be equal to urban minority social groups. They’re welcome to join the rest of us productive people, but otherwise they’re not likely to ever be equal.
1. Always black and white with these people. Don’t they realize that whites are not a majority anymore— merely a plurality— in many places, like California, and the black percentage is shrinking also.
2. How passe to refer to “white”. We are European-Americans.
It is so much easier to justify violence on a massive scale once you have sufficiently dehumanized the target group
