Donald Trump’s Epic Weekend Meltdown
Redstate ^ | 1/18/16 | Leon H. Wolf

Maybe Donald Trump needs some of that "free" mental healthcare that the Democrats were talking about last night.

If you are like most ordinary Americans, you probably spent the weekend watching the NFL playoffs, or spending time with your family, or trying to avoid the freezing cold that gripped most of the country. You know, anything other than watching the Democrats "debate" or the political nonsense on Twitter and the cable shows.

Which is regrettable, because people who were paying attention finally got to see what The Donald is like when he's off his meds. It all started, as most things do where Trump is concerned, with an unhinged twitter rant Saturday morning. In it, Trump abandoned his cowardly (but politically wise) tack of saying that he believes Cruz is eligible, it's just that the evil Democrats are likely to make trouble for Cruz over it. He flat out started calling Cruz a "Natural Born Canadian" and furthermore peddling bizarre (and nonsensical) conspiracy theories about Cruz:

From there, Trump went to a rally in Myrtle Beach, SC, where he continued this line of attack and was booed by his own supporters:

So are you. And you care nothing about Cruz’s ethics problems with his finances.

He is very sly for political gain.

When you can answer the questions in my tagline, and explain why removing borders to set up a global economy is conservatism, we’ll talk about whether Cruz should take loans from global banks.

Come on man - you know the drill.

All of Trump's tweets are cool and funny, he was never pro-abortion, never pro-amnesty, never pro-Canadian health care, never in favor of the progressive tax system.

He never gave money to the Clintons (never to Bill, never to Hillary, never to the Foundation), he never filed for bankruptcy, he never was a registered Democrat with strong NY values that don't play well in Iowa.

He just wants to make America great again. No one knows how but then again you don't need to, we all just have to trust him.

Cruz or trump.

Articles like this, filled with hyperbole and perjurative language are posted here more frequently.

Anyone objective has to reject what amounts to muckraking hype.

It does nothing for your guy.

Who’s that remark going to sell to?

Donald is all over “STUPID” leadership. How many times does he have to complain about “weak leadership” that lends Obama a helping hand.

How many times do the Republican Establishment have to show it is they who are in full panic against TRUMP, even at the price of their considered support for Cruz in order to stop TRUMP. Cruz, whom they despise personally AND professionally! LOL!

“There is no intellectual honesty in Trumpbots. None. You are worshiping a personality.”

Did you watch the video I challenged you to watch? No. you did not, because you have no intellectual honesty.

Worship?

That is the difference between us. If you will notice, Trump supporters will list off the reasons they support Trump, almost invariably, thing Trump WILL DO.

Cruz supporters, on the other hand, will invariably write about supporting Cruz for what he IS, which is usually involves divine prerogatives.

When did “Conservatives” decide that adopting Leftists debate tactics was a “smart move”?

I assume by the rest of your post that you are a Truml fan. He has checked off a good percentage of the Alinksy Rules for Radicals in the last week alone.

You couldn't have typed that with a straight face.

I saw some of the creepy “transfer of wealth/ usher in the end times” stuff Rafael was espousing. I think he’s a con man. A lot of his resume seems to only exist on paper. He, apparently was booking paid gigs through Ted’s Senate staff in Austin, at least a few years ago, anyway.

I’m not watching carefully edited Trumpbot propaganda. This article was written by Trump himself.

Then I must be mentally ill because I think Trump is right about this.

Cruz is eligible. But that won’t stop the Democrats and their supporters on the Federal Bench from causing Cruz all sorts of grief.

Serious question.

What is the difference in Trump supporters saying they don’t care what Trump’s positions were just a matter of months ago and B Clinton’s supporters in 1992 saying character doesn’t matter?

“So...why is he doing this?”

1) Conspiracy Theory: Trump isn’t in the race to win. He wants (fill in the blank).

2) Human Nature Theory: It’s “Trump being Trump”.

Conspiracies can be real but advocating one can make one look silly because they are difficult to prove. I’ll take #2. Human beings have individual tendencies and Trump strikes me as a person who doesn’t take much advice. I’m guessing that the “natural born” strategy is just Trump following his instincts.

“How will you respond?”

Well, I will laugh at you and turn the page!! But keep on disgracing the discourse here. You have a lot of company right now, on all sides.

funny that people condemn Cruz for borrowing his own money when his opponent, Trump, is perfectly comfortable working with banks for decades and for letting them bail him out of multiple messes:

I like canadian bacon and Maple syrup. The maple leaf would look nice hanging from my front door. I took down the american flag, November 2008. I couldn’t fly a Kenya flag. Canadian, I like it.

I’ll vote for Canada over Hillary.

I would enjoy rubbing the maple leaf into every liberals nose.

“There was even a pathetic hit on Trump’s age. Cruz is punching way above his level. He already just about got KOed in a ‘youth and inexperience’ moment when he doubled down on his NY values statement at the debate.”

If Cruz won every state besides NY, he’d be in good shape, no?

I’m sure there are far more Americans that dislike “New York values” (meaning New York City, upstate is fine) than like them at this point. I think Ted did himself a lot of good with an attack on NYC - it is a center of leftist, socialist politics and wrongheaded ideas after all.

FUNYC!

BTW, “punching above your weight” (correct usage) is a compliment. :-)

Go Cruz!!!
