A group of masked men attacked a driver stopped at a red light and stole his car in a carjacking in Hartford Saturday afternoon.
The victim told police he was stopped at a red light when about five men in black hooded sweatshirts and ski masks approached his vehicle and dragged him out of the car. They hit him multiple times and then drove off in his car, police said.

This guy needs to know to keep the doors locked and that the gas pedal can be used for escape. If they are in the way, too bad for them.

In certain neighborhoods, if one cannot avoid driving through, locked doors, and a cross draw holster with weapon cocked and locked is good insurance.
An important rule: When stopped at a light, do NOT stop right behind the car ahead of you. Give yourself 3/4 a car length to quickly pull out if you need to.

Anyway, FIRST: one of the things we were taught is that if you look like you’re about to run down the bad guys, they will ALWAYS get out of the way, or at least try to. SECOND: If the neighborhood looks a bit seedy but people are still stopping at traffic lights, then do an Argentina stop, where you leave at least a full car length ahead of you. This opens up options.
Maybe both, the monkey first to beat the crap out of them, then just for good measure, fry them.

I used to just carry a M1911 .45 in my car. Now I carry that and have a Remington 870 within arms reach loaded with buckshot. Anytime the area is inhabited with a concentration of affirmative action race of professional victim Democrats I make sure the doors are also locked and before I get near the place I have a full tank of gas. (We are talking about Memphis, Tennessee).

Yes. Any dumbass that stands in front of my car and thinks I won’t flatten him is going to get a good look at my oil pan before it’s over.

Rigging up that with bear spray, on either side of the car would actually be cool.
