The headline reflects the moment my previous support for Ted Cruz (2011/2012), which evolved to concern about Senator Ted Cruz (2013/2014), turned to admitting Ted Cruz was a phoney.
The date was Saturday, July 19th, 2014 – I remember it vividly because I noted in my journal “last straw in providing Cruz any benefit of doubt – done“.

Can that generosity be applied to Trump over a 17 year video, since he no longer supports abortion? Or does it take a few more decades to be cleansed of those beliefs to convince Cruz supporters?
There are a number of issues seen in the past months which do question my Cruz judgement here. Not only what has been found and posted, but the fact of why and how he will not come forth with answers as to certain questions when asked. It was felt he was a true Conservative who heard our voices and was destined to become our megaphone. In the past year the scales are becoming unglued from my eyes. Several months ago - the lever would have been pulled for him no matter what his NBC status might have been. At this time I tend to question his conservative principals and do wonder if the man might be working against US making the NBC totally irrelevant. I wanted so much to believe the man was honest and above board. Finding little items such as this will now make me question my judgment on so many others. Sigh, there is far too much skull duggery in politics. Perhaps I should be living in the time of G. Washington. There is just so much importance to this race it is imperative to get it right as there will be no second chances.
And Reagan was also pro-abortion in his 50s. If this was 1980, you’d dig up tapes from 16 years before that and “prove” he was a fraud.
I had a feeling that it was the Libertarians who were behind the Cruz hate pieces. Now, I know thatbI am right.
Begs the question, would one rather have a leader who is buying or one who is bought??

Regardless of a person’s position on Cruz or Trump, the Conservative Tree House did quite an expose on the Unaccompanied “Undocumented Minors” coming across the border and the massive amounts of money that are being filtered to “charities” ($40,000+/person).
