It's a line he's used against Donald Trump before -- that he represents "New York values." But when Texas Senator Ted Cruz used the line, "Not a lot of conservatives come out of Manhattan," in the Fox Business Channel debate, he not only raised the ire of Trump, but of many well-known conservatives in Manhattan.
Trumps defended his hometown, citing how the city responded to the terrorists attack on 9/11.
Conservatives from and living in Manhattan, took issue with Cruz as well.

Trump might have a point if he were clearly a conservative. But he’s not.

What was that peculiar remark that NY “focuses on the media”? I don’t even know what that means. For a Harvard-trained lawyer, that was pretty obscure. Did he mean that the national media is located here? If so, say so. I can tell you, most NYers focus on their jobs and family, not on “the media.”
That’s already been pointed out. She was put in a timeout a few days ago, but since being allowed to play again she’s mildly peppered her posts with minor pro-Cruz articles.
So in 2012 Cruz defines Natural Born Citizen as “Two citizen parents and born on the soil.â€
Hmmm.
