In his first comments about a possible running mate, Republican front-runner Donald Trump said Saturday that former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown would make a "very good" vice president.
"Vice president. Hey, that sounds like it could â hey, hey â very good," Trump said at a rally in Portsmouth, N.H. that was hosted by Brown, The Hill reports.
Trump made the remark after he asked Brown whether he would consider running for office again and a member of the audience raised the idea of a Trump-Brown ticket, according to the Hill.
"Hey, you know what?" Trump added. "And heâs central casting. Look at that guy. Central casting.

Trump could float Harry Reid and it wouldn’t surprise me. I firmly believe FR us been infiltrated by DU or they are blinded by stardom
I told you he is a liberal.
He is floating it for New Hampshire, he’ll float someone else for the next primary. It’s just politics. Media swallowing it whole.
Good grief.
He joshed with an audience member at a rally in New Hampshire.
It’s idiotic to take every off the cuff remark of his as if it were some set in stone policy decision.
They could repeat Romney and Ryan’s feat of losing both their home states!
BTW, the last major-party national ticket to do that before R&R was McGovern-Shriver in 1972 — 40 years earlier.
Henry Cabot Lodge was the Republican VP nominee in 1960.
See Trump's Twitter tantrum today.
Not as fun as wild conjecture of course, but useful nonetheless.
Look, folks....the Ted Cruz folks can curse, complain, rant & rave all they want...but this political game is over. Once Ted Cruz opend his yap and bad mouthed NYC & NY state...he ended his game!!! Trump devastated Cruz in front of millions of people. Whoever advised Cruz to go forward with his NY dig....was neither friend , nor shepard, nor ally to Ted Cruz.
I am sure the Cruz campaign felt this would sew up IOWA for them. Not even close!!! Bad move...no matter how you look at it. And....then for Cruz to follow it today, up with more ranting against NY was the end of game move!!! It is possible, although I doubt it strongly, that Ted Cruz will win in Iowa. but....the victory in Iowa is now hollow to the bone...with little impact elswhere!!! I don’t care if Cruz messed up, or, his people put him onto it. At the end of the day as my British friends like to quote...the responsilbilty for such crass tactics, rest soley with Ted Cruz!!!
When Cruz saw Governor, Nikki Haley...kissing and making up with Donald Trump before the Thursday debate...that should have sent a clear signal to his brain...don’t mess with New York & Donald Trump. Cruz should have rememberd the Texas motto we Texans all love....Don’t Mess With Texas. Apparantly Cruz was asleep at the wheel!!!
As for the great state of Iowa...you good folks have the opportunity of choosing either Ted Cruz or Donald Trump as your caucus winner!!! The handwriting is clearly on the wall. Vote Trump and you will be saluted across the country...vote Cruz...and it means very little ....if nothing!!! Your choice!!! Time to be real, pragmatic, focused and right!!!
Trump/Webb
You go to a high school and what do you do?
You mention a teacher or the principal as a possible running mate.
If you’re a normal person, you laugh.
If you’re a part of Ted Crewz, you seethe and start posting...
Does not get any better.
EVERYONE, read this post from our fellow FReeper TBF, ok?
And then CHILL THE HELL OUT.

Hereâs the T-R-U-T-H about Scott Brown. Trump was speaking at his No BS BBQ today, which several other candidates have already done, and more will in the future.
A young girl in the audience asked Trump if she could come up on stage and take a selfie with him. Scott Brown said, no. Probably because he was the host and maybe concerned with security. I donât know.
Then Trump overrode Brown and let the girl come up on stage and get her selfie. The audience booed Brown for not letting the girl come up on stage. While that was going on, Trump said, Well, if Scott were running for office, he would let her come up. Audience laughter.
Then Trump asked Brown if he was going to be running for office again.
Immediately someone from the audience yelled out, how about as your VP to Trump?
Then, Trump, because he has good manners, said something complimentary, like âyeah, yeah, that would be a good ideaâ as opposed to saying to the audience member, are you kidding me? why would I ever consider this guy, thus insulting the host who was showing Trump his hospitality.
And this becomes Trump floating SCott Brown as his VP.
Desperate.
Welcome to FR.
Can’t argue with a bit of that.
Seems right on target to me.
Wouldn’t be horrible. Webb brings foreign policy experience (as a Republican appointee), some experience in the Senate, and most of all though, he’d help Trump completely convert the white working class/midwest/appalachia to the Republican column. That group is already flipping to the GOP, but with those two, they’d be in the Repub column like blacks are in the Dem column, and I see no path to the White House for the Dem’s once that happens, maybe for a generation.
Thanks for the info on this. I am happy to hear how it really happened.
