Has Breitbart Gone Full 'Birther' On Ted Cruz?
Daily Caller ^ | 1/16/16 | Rachel Stoltzfoos

A quick examination of a few mainstream media outlets' coverage of the story reveals Breitbart's devotion to Cruz's eligibility for the White House is equaled by The Washington Post, but far surpasses the appetite of outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Politico.

WaPo and Breitbart have been writing twice the number of stories on the subject of whether Cruz is natural born as those three outlets. Each of the two wrote at least 30 stories on it in the past week, compared to less than 15 stories each from TheNYT, WSJ and Politico.

WaPo's obsession with Cruz recently attracted public scrutiny when one of its cartoonists depicted his children as monkeys, but a comparison of Breitbart and WaPo's homepage's Tuesday shows Breitbart may be a bit more devoted to Trump's birther theory.

Daily Caller seems to be even worse lately. Every Cruz headline seems to have a negative spin to it.

They have. DC’s stats prove it. Levin called them out on it. Nolte is full throttle Trump supporter per Jonah Goldberg. I had noticed last week they report when DT farts. Look at the 2016 section and rarely anything on Cruz. Or anyone else.

Unlikely. Ben Shapiro is Chief Editor at Breitbart, and he is Pro-Cruz and anti-Trump

Don-O, why did you list this article as being made on the 16th, even though it was published the 14th, where a TDSer also posted it on FR, probably several times on the 14th.

Because you guys just have this obsession with REPOSTING ARTICLES OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!

A lot of us want the eligibility questions resolved. Cruz, Rubio, Obama, future candidates. It’s ridiculous to think the Constitution is not being followed, and we can’t get the judiciary to rule one way or the other.

Brace yourself. So also is Red State but on the loan scandal. Big supporter of Cruz drops him, there, with another chapter and verse break down of buying and selling of Ted Cruz.

Never mind that TRUMP this morning tweets out bait for the hounds to set them wondering if Cruz maybe got CANADIAN LOANS, as well, after living off the Goldman Sachs money and agenda.

Not looking good and TEXANS are sure not happy with the old story of the struggling Cruz family after Red State exposes.

Room mate of Ted’s dishes in the Houston Chronicle, leaving Ted 16 days to clean up the barrage of incoming before IOWA.

Per his twitter page, Ben Shapiro is Editor in Chief at DailyWire.com and only an Editor at Large at Breitbart. Alex Marlow is the Editor in Chief at Breitbart (https://twitter.com/alexmarlow).

The socialists(democrats) strategically should hold off in case Cruz gets the nomination as president or vice president.

Then they can go after Cruz full bore to help out the socialists(dem)candidate. -tom

These people are reposting and reposting the same articles all day long. It’s all they’ve got since the Reuters poll came out.

“A lot of us want the eligibility questions resolved.”

Precisely. It is a very legitimate question the way the 1790 statue is worded. You guys can ignore the subject to your own and Ted’s peril.

Breitbart, and John Nolte in particular, are so far in for Trump that it’s hard to read them anymore.

Again a question...

If Obama was not eligible to be president if he was proved to been born outside the United States...

How is Cruz different when we know he was born outside the United States?

Each had one US citizen parent, the mother, and each had one non US citizen parent, the father.

the only difference I can see is Obama’s father was a citizen of another country while Cruz is father was a refugee from another country

And I that has someone that is a big fan of Cruz for some time and he was my first choice for a long time but this is always been a question to me

There’s got to be some intellectual honesty and consistency here... so what is the difference?

Because sodomy now is the “Law of the Land” and we have been saturated with Jenner cr*p, and “Good and Evil” is flipped.

It is ONLY the Christian worldview which is banned from the public square since the 60s, not the Satanic worldview of sodomizing others and killing-babies, which is allowed to be promoted 24/7 (and taxpayer funded) along with the Rite of Sodomy (for the children) and in so-called “just” laws. LOL

Trump has no moral principles-—which is DANGEROUS for a Republic since Montesquieu and ALL the Founders stated that Virtue is essential for a free Republic and ALL “Just” Law must promotes “public virtue”.
Libertarians separate Faith and Reason which is impossible (and irrational). You can’t do it. Either we are based on Christian Ethics as our Founders instituted, or we are no longer a Free Republic. For only Christianity is a just, equal “faith”-—no other is rational—based on Natural Law (which includes Natural Duties which is the basis of American Jurisprudence).

Trump can’t understand simple philosophy/Theology of the Founding Fathers. His “emotions” rule-—although, in areas of business in corrupt cultures, he is very savvy and Machiavellian. It would be nice if he had some Christian morals....but I don’t see it much....with his lifestyle and everything. He may just be an irrational stooge for the Left.

Stop your irrational bubble machine based on no fact, just your own emotions. It’s unbecoming.

There’s got to be some intellectual honesty and consistency here... so what is the difference?

The difference is that "natural born citizen" is understood to derive from English common law. Since Obama was born in the U.S., he's unquestionably NBC. Whether a person born out of the jurisdiction of the U.S. (like Cruz) is NBC is debated. Precedent by the U.S. Supreme Court suggests he is not.
