Columbia, South Carolina (CNN)Ted Cruz on Friday offered an extended "apology" to those offended by his criticism of "New York values," but rather than back down from his controversial comments, he instead slammed the Empire State's "liberal politicians."
Asked by reporters whether he wanted to apologize for saying this week that Donald Trump, his main 2016 rival, "embodies New York values," Cruz turned the tables, laying out a three-minute riff on things for which he would rather apologize.
"Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio have all demanded an apology, and I'm happy to apologize," he told reporters after an event here. "I apologize to the millions of New Yorkers who have been let down by the liberal politicians in that state."
Cruz then proceeded, in detail, to attack Cuomo, the governor of New York, for his disapproval of fracking, the controversial energy extraction process, while also aiming his sights on de Blasio, New York City's mayor, for his policies on taxes, charter schools and policing.
"I apologize to all the cops and the firefighters and 9/11 heroes who had no choice but to stand and turn their backs on Mayor de Blasio because Mayor de Blasio over and over again stands with the looters and the criminals rather than the brave men and women of blue," he said.

Ask any ex resident of NY why they are an ex resident. Specifically non NYC types. We will tell you we got sick of NYC and their ‘values’ sucking up all the tax money and turning the rest of the state into serfs.
I recently looked at my hometown, Tupper Lake, on Google maps/earth after leaving 2 decades ago. I can’t tell the difference between it and Detroit. The town I grew up in was a leave it to beaver place. Today it’s a slum. Guess where all the money went? Guess how many local businesses closed because of liberal regs?
Wanna see NY values Don is so proud of folks? Look TL up on Google. Thats what NY values result in. Destruction. We don’t even need to get into their election pro islam pols after 9/11.

That form requires details about guarantors, collateral and pledges, plus the signatures of the campaign treasurer and a representative of the lending institution.
Quit making excuses. You know he was bribed and now he is working for the Establishment. I wonder how much they paid him?

When de Blasio was running for Mayor of New York his oppoent was Anthony Weiner (Huma’s husband that sexted his penis to all the world) and dropped out...so de Blasio won...unfortunately...
Cuomo has long been a force in New York, his father and his father before him...just like the Kennedys from Mass. were thought of...same position...
Clinton ‘paid’ Daniel Moyinhan to not run and ran unopposed to that Senate seat, they don’t like her because of who she is and she’s a ‘carpetbagger’....Arkansas had the guts enough to tell them to stay out of Arkansas and can’t blame them...
But the thing that New York is remembered mostly is 9/11, the same way as the Pentagon and PA is remembered...these were trying days, and not all of us get to choose what and where we are...we are where we are for earnings to support our families, or we are where we are because of families...
And they elected an open pro muslim, pro homo, pro abortion communist.

Actually you do get to choose. Thats what living in America is all about. If you choose to live under liberals, do not be upset when bad things happen to you.
What did NYC do after the worst attack on America since the British? They elected pols that support the attackers.
All of upstate is devastate because of the pols in Albany that NYC controls. From Plattsburg to Syracuse to Buffalo and all the one horse towns between.
