As we commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday and honor his legacy, Americans are confronted with many pressing issues -- including racism.
Here in the Bay Area, we pride ourselves on being culturally diverse. We consider ourselves enlightened. We see racism as only happening somewhere else, not in our own backyard. But it does happen here. We need to face up to it.

It is a reminder needed even here in the "enlightened" Bay Area.
Oakland is part of this "enlightened" Bay Area. How many lives of black men, women and children have been ended by other members of the same ethnicity?
I thought all last year was Martin Luther King Day.
What’s this “we” s***?
MLK had his issues and so do I.
King operated outside the political system, like the folks out in Oregon occupying the wildlife refuge.
The difference is the possession of firearms.
Civil disobedience of a nonviolent manner was practiced by King because the segregationist system was wrong.
Police tactics used against MLK rebounded to his advantage in 1963 and 1965 and politicians were forced to act.
But violence also spread across the country causing a white backlash that hurt Democrats and helped Republicans in the end in terms of two party politics.
Because King said, “I dream of a day that all people shall be judged on the color of their skin and not the content of their character! And remember, all crackers must pay!”
I remember seeing those videos and hearing and reading that quote. Yep, sure do! BLM! BLM! BLM!
Remember?
Hell I forgot when MLK Day even is.
Oh shut up
And stop calling the plagiarist “Doctor”
The writer bemoans fact that the media, the police, the DA, the NAACP, and the church officials never made mention of a hate crime incident at a Baptist AME church where racist graffiti was spray painted inside the church, and demands to know why.
The answer is that they did it to themselves. Just like all of these unknown vandal hate crimes.

The only American with his own holiday. Our presidents have been dumped into one called Presidents Day.
MLK would NOT honor an organization founded on a lie.

We should remember that George Washington used to have his own national holiday.
Color of skin vs Content of character.
I pay no attention to “Saint” Martin Luther King day. It’s of no importance to me. He was a communist and cheated on his wife. And if he were alive today, I’m convinced that he’d be right in there with the “Black Lives Matter” crowd with his hand out for tax money.
It’s pathetic how we grovel to him in January, and then have to suffer through the phony “Black History” month in February. I was forced to take 4 courses in “Black History” in college and was disgusted with the absolutely poor and highly slanted history.
And then he espoused communism and all its tenets. Major insult to our American way of life.
I guess when 0bozo leaves office the liberal MSM will promote an 0bozo holiday as the first black president.
