This new poll should make the Republican establishment panic and despair

The poll, once again, shows Donald Trump leading and Ted Cruz in second place. That's no surprise at this point. But it's long been thought that much of this was due to overcrowding of the field — that after many of these candidates drop out, someone like Marco Rubio could consolidate the establishment-friendly vote and ride it to victory.

According to this poll, though ... not so much.

In a three-way contest between Trump, Cruz, and Marco Rubio, Trump leads with 40 percent, Cruz is in second with 31 percent, and Rubio is far back with 26 percent.

My strong preference is Cruz, but I could live with any of those three as the nominee.

Yeah, the 3% that at one time supported Jeb! plus all those people in the debate audience.

What in the hell has Cruz done for us. Talks a great game but same only useless part of the establishment that let America go in the toilet. Need new blood that owes no one anything but makes America great again. Trump for President.

When candidates drop out, their voters seem not to be going to the Establishment candidates, but largely to Cruz.

” and Rubio is far back with 26 percent”

I didn’t realize that Univision had that many viewers. There must be more illegals than I thought.

Just an innocent question after your statement, "what the hell has Cruz done for us......?"

I'd reframe your question to just, "what the hell as Trump done for us....?"

Or maybe I should ask, "Just what the hell has Trump done for you?" - do you work for the man, invested in any of his projects or are related to one of his former wives??

I heard Rush earlier quoting the bull shiite NBC poll showing Cruz beating Trump. He didn’t say the same bunch has Comrade Sanders killing Trump by 13 which is ridiculous. Now he is denying a lady caller’s charge that he is in the tank for Cruz which of course he is.Her point is very good - just admit it and stop hiding your feelings. I doubt Rush will quote this poll.

Patriots, please bear the following in mind.

Congress is the most constitutionally powerful branch of the federal government regardless what the corrupt media wants people to think about the Oval Office. Congress is only letting lawless Obama get away with stealing legislative branch powers to make unconstitutional executive orders so that corrupt lawmakers can keep their voting records clean to fool low-information voters into reelecting them.

The bottom line is that patriots are going to need to also elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the new president.

Note that such a Congress will probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

RINO’s weep silently as the more younger charismatic version of Jeb Bush is still mired at the back of the back behind the belovable celebrity blowhard and the Senator from Texas who is a fringe wing nut (sarc).

So when these insiders finally bite the dust from a real change coming down the pipeline will they ever figure out that even billions of dollars, a corporate ran lap-dog media, and constant economic strip mining and selling us down the river is not a winning combination?

Probably his office hasn't had much power, in fact I don't think he voted one single time to stop TPP.

The only reason you would ask what Trump has done is because you naively believe your candidate actually has done something but he hasn't.

If you like your Republican Party, you can keep your Republican Party. Those predicting the demise of the Republican Party may need to pay attention - it is more of a needed reformation. While broadening the tent, it also needs to shovel out the manure. The GOPe has failed the bulk of the center-right in America, certainly have shunned conservatives, they have capitulated, way too often, to the Left.
