[history]
Eight people were taken to area hospitals after a suspicious substance was found Friday morning in an office at the Longworth House Office Building, according to a D.C. fire department spokesman.
The spokesman, Timothy Wilson, could not immediately describe the symptoms but said they were minor. He said fire crews evaluated 10 people and took eight to hospitals.

Did someone in the House accidentally stumble upon the TRUTH??
To: factoryrat
It refers the House of Representatives. It is just shortened to House. Usually it is stipulated as House Office Building. It's an office building used for the House of Representatives for Committees, Congressman/woman's DC office, etc. There are 5 House Buildings and 3 Senate Office Buildings. The House Office Buildings consist of the Cannon, Longworth, Rayburn, Ford, and O'Neil. The Senate Office Buildings consist of the Russell, Dirksen, and Hart.

The buildings contain committee and hearing rooms on top of offices for Congress. There are 535 (435 HoR 100 Sen) members in Congress.

Personally....I believe “House Members” should be required to stay in their district offices...and only VISIT DC annually.

We sort of do that in Texas.
Our session is only once every 2 years for only 140 days.
Its the way to do it.
The only problem is the calendars process turns into a bit of a shooting gallery for bills, but it keeps changes minimal.
