Republican pollster Frank Luntz asked a South Carolina focus group who won Thursday night’s GOP debate — and the members “overwhelmingly†chose one candidate.
“We got 26 South Carolinians and they are very clear about what happened tonight,†Luntz said on Fox News.
“Normally I do a show of hands. This time, I’m going to count down and you’re going to tell the American people who won this evening,†he told the focus group. “Are you ready? Three, two, one—.â€

As a whole, I can't disagree.
However, the 3-4 minutes that are getting most of the press is the New York exchange, and Trump clobbered him on that.
All Cruz could do was silently applaud Trump's response to his own attack.
It was Cruz's worst moment in any of the debates. Without that, the debate story could have been much different.
Yes, based on facts he won.

In the picture, I see three people who did not raise their hands for Cruz as the winner.
I agree. Each landed punches, each drew blood, each bled.
Everyone was on their game, and as close to as good as they get.
Cruz could have done even better, given his skills. I think he won, and I prefer him as a candidate. But I know he’s an even better debater than we saw last night.
The GOPe Elite and the Fox News have accepted Cruz, that’s all I need to know.
Frank Luntz is a television entertainer who once did relatively reasonable polling. There is no reason to pay any attention to him now, except for whatever entertainment value he provides.

Yes sad, IMO the head guy at FOX (Ayers) has poisoned the Fair and Balanced Meme. They have jumped from one GOPe to the next looking for a Trump slayer. Cruz is not really the droid they are looking for, as the GOPe loses with him as well.
FOX may as well go beck to being fair. BTW, I watch Dobbs for a reasonable look at the candidates. And Dobbs is heartily in favor of a new leader. He openly says the US will be better of with Trump.

In my opinion, the Pensacola rally pretty much told the story. You had the red neck riviera for trump. He even put NY in play with his defense of their values.
Rush Limbaugh just said Cruz won. He must have watched a different debate. Even Rubio bested Cruz in their encounters.

He may have meant to say Trump. I have heard him get cross-wised before on those names. I have caught myself reading the names in reverse.
