Trump’s donation history shows Democratic favoritism
the washington post ^ | April 26, 2011 | Dan Eggen and T.W. Farnam

Billionaire Donald J. Trump, an early presidential favorite among tea party activists, has a highly unusual history of political contributions for a prospective Republican candidate: He has given most of his money to the other side. ..... Former congressman Thomas M. Davis III (Va.), who served as chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, said Trump’s close ties to some Democrats would be "a huge obstacle, but it’s not insurmountable." Trump, he added, would not be running as a "purity" candidate.

I still can’t watch the 9/11 shows that are shown every year. Too tough to watch.

Yeah we are supposed to hold our nose and vote for someone who donated money to the Clinton. I sure won’t be voting for him.

It’s late. I need to try to sleep. I have treatment tomorrow. We’ve been around this merry-go-round before. Bottom line, if you have an ego like trump’s, go ahead and declare victory.

Are you kidding me?

Do you remember Zell Miller? He gave a speech at the Republican Convention back during the reign of His Slickness. He is a Democrat.

Many here celebrated Miller’s POV back then.

Are you saying that patriotic Democrats cannot see the danger that the US is in now?

Yet Conservatives are flocking to him in droves.

They will all be sorry when President Trump appoints a liberal
justice to the SCOTUS.

Where did I say that? But I am not voting for a Democrat and although I loved Zell Miller's speech I wouldn't have voted for him for President.

Trump is irrelevant to the issue. Here is why.

The Republican’s became the majority in the House on January 3rd of 2013. They could have denied Obama anything from that moment on. Did they?

We are in the 214th Congress. Since the 212th Congress, the Republicans could have denied anything they wanted to deny Barack Obama.

The House has the purse strings. It doesn’t have to work in conjunction with the Senate or the Executive Branch. It can simply defund whatever it wants to.

Did Donald Trump do anything to stop them?

You mean well, but you’re off base on this.

I don’t believe that.

Trump is smart enough to listen to guidance from people he trusts.

It’s the Right’s job to make sure a Conservative is one of those people.

I agree. But Miller saw what was going on and was not afraid to say so.

Trump is putting his money where his mouth is.

I’m going to bed.

I don’t choose to, and I live in California. I know what happened and I just don’t care to wallow in it.

The most important thing to me, is that we make sure it doesn’t happen again.

And Trump has been the only guy with enough backbone to explain how to make an impact on that.

Hell, he admitted in an interview a few years ago he had NY values.

The NY deal is should be nothing to Cruz. No conservative is going to win NY, period. The city has too much clout in the rest of the state.
