Actually this is a great point and question. I honestly believe our culture, Obama and this DO NOTHING Republican Congress has generated the need for a Donald Trump. To me Trump embodies Jacksonian politics and we live in a climate that needs this type of individual to lead us. Culturally, It sure wouldn’t hurt to start getting back into the church.
I agree that culture is headed to a scary place, but fact that Freepers like Trump isn’t an indication of a dilution of conservatism in my opinion. I think the system is broken, and a totally different candidate like self-funding Trump is a possible solution even if only partial or temporary. Besides, I really like most of Trump’s positions.
