I agree that culture is headed to a scary place, but fact that Freepers like Trump isn’t an indication of a dilution of conservatism in my opinion. I think the system is broken, and a totally different candidate like self-funding Trump is a possible solution even if only partial or temporary. Besides, I really like most of Trump’s positions.

Oh I absolutely adore Trump and find it near impossible to be objective where he is concerned. To a degree I do believe however that circumstances have aligned to make the rise of him or someone like him necessary at this point in history — as Carter gave us Reagan, current events are in the process of handing us Trump. And I’m completely in his corner.
