Wow, I can only hope you are wrong. I think he understand his only chance is to destroy her, that polite politics like we saw from Romney and McCain is a losing strategy.
He has a huge ego and will do whatever it takes to win. He knows that involves going after her as hard as possible, because the MSM will be doing all they can to protect her.
Ridiculous.
The McCains were both Americans on military duty, serving in the interests of the United States, and on assignment on US Territory, in Panama.
Absolutely no comparison to the Cruz controversy.
The Cruz parents were born one in Cuba and the mother in the USA, and not serving any US interests nor residing on US Territory in Canada. They had voting rights in Canada, and served politically in Canada. These activities are afforded only to Canadian citizens, not American citizens.
Ted was born in Canada to a Canadian citizen mother.
Are these "causes" exacerbated or alleviated by the presence of a tariff? I wouldn't call tariffs pain relief when history has shown them to be more of a curative.
Growing manufacturing base here creates more demand for labor. More demand = rising compensation, obviating minimum wage necessity for workers in that sector of the economy. The market will set the wage.
As you point out, the tariff would add funding to the government. Then we demand Congress lower individual and corp taxes alike. A balanced budget amendment to end the baseline BS would help keep them from needing to tax anew.
Regulations. Unfortunately some are needed to maintain civilation. Weeding out the unnecessary, redundant, punitive and unconstitutional ones is needed. I personally would rather have regulations governing trade that is beneficial to the US versus a mammoth tax code filled with regulations codifying everybody's favorite deduction or loophole.
see post 160 of this thread
perhaps someone else posting style will offer a fresh perceptive on this non issue
Someone here posted that group was chanting 'Rand' -probably was a small group of college age kids.
Well, his ill-fitting suit shirt and tie were far more distracting than his toupee!
I would not go out to get the mail looking like he did...He looked horribly unkept!
Unless you are ancient or an ex military you are responsible for your own bills.
Insurance is like a bad lottery. If you win the bad lottery then they handle you, but as your risk or age goes up so does your insurance payment and sometimes deductible.
You described socialism where someone else pays your bills and you only pay something getting to supposedly keep your life savings and home blemish free. Why, are you the chosen one above all others?
That’s living in lala land my friend.
If what you mentioned goes down in this country you will require everyone to be paying a 500% value added tax on all goods and services like Europe.
No company or other citizen can afford to pay $200,000 - $1,000,000 for you.
If a major condition hits expect to pay huge premiums. You will pay with income, savings and your other estate assets.
Their is no right to have others pay for you unless you are very old or military.
Once you lose the ability to pay premiums if not old then you go in the system under welfare as a charity case.
Your asking to be a charity case with your assets all intact as WE pay which is unethical. Pay what you must. Burn through what you need to and if you luck out and do well you may have a penny to pass on.
Their might be some home protection during you lifetime on the books, but what you owe would be withdrawn from your estate before you get to give a penny to family.
There is no free ride.
Wrong. We need a president who will viciously attack liberals wherever they are found and not pander to the other side. We need one who will point out the political cancer that festers in the deep blue parts of the country. The GOP moderates are the ones who constantly try to appeal for liberal votes and Trump is in that moderate mold.
DRUDGE had a headline up yesterday on the Establishment considering a deal with Cruz.
TRUMP doesn’t have to deal. He is a self made man.
Cruz will deal, just to get a congressional pass on his birther issue if nothing else.
Get real.
Mark Halprin reported yesterday on Morning Joe that the real side fight is between the two Establishment camps, one who want to deal with Cruz, and the other who appreciate TRUMP.
“Blah blah platitude talking point blah memorized blah kindler gentler blah blah”
As far as I can tell, Jeb doesn’t actually say words, it’s more like a droning sound that comes out of his mouth. At least that’s what it sounds like to me; either that or my auto-tuner-out-er-er kicks in within milliseconds when Jeb starts to make sounds, and my brain is never allowed the chance at decoding his talky sounds into words.
don’t be so sure. We know they don’t like either one.
The U.S. government was funded by tariffs from its beginning up until 1913. Tariffs worked. Income and corporate taxes - FAIL!
It has a lot to do with being “establishment”. The establishment has attempted, since 1970, to have the Art. 2 eligibility restriction amended OUT of the Constitution, and also tried to have laws passed giving foreign born persons legal right to the Oval Office. None of those 15 attempts have been successful. They were cautioned on the attempt to merely pass a law, that a amendment was the best way to go - because a law could be CHALLENGED IN COURT.
A dual citizen elected to the Oval Office, or even a naturalized citizen, could not only have divided loyalties, but also be subject to legal claim from another country.
Under Obamacre 90% of California pays under $100 because of income.
There’s lots of broke jokes around with the hand out and no way to pay.
Public can’t pay either.
ah no I was rather busy having a life but I have encountered several people here possessing that New York City Mindset to which the Honorable SenatorTed Cruz referred.
Absolute poppycock. She was born in the U.S. and was an American citizen. She never renounced her citizenship and never became a Canadian citizen. If you’re an American citizen, your children are American citizens no matter where they are born and regardless of who the other parent is. It is not a special right afforded only to people doing a certain job. It is a constitutional right.
Lord. Rubio is eligible. Once your Mother puts her foot on American soil and gives birth, you are a citizen. That easy.
Cruz wasn’t even born in the country and his father was Cuban. He is way more likely not to be eligible then Rubio.
I don’t like a candidate being born in another country. We have 320 people in the country, clearly we can just pick those born in America at least.
And what were Cruz’s parents doing to support America in Canada?
Interesting.
The establishment is much more comfortable with Trump. He has said over and over that he “was part of the establishment” until he decided to run. He was one of the donors greasing their corrupt palms to get he wanted. They are starting to realize that all his conservative talk in the primary is just bluster and that he just wants to win. And they figure they can cut deals with him behind closed doors to get what they want when the time comes. Trump himself will spin whatever it is as a “great deal” and keep claiming he came out ahead no matter what conservative principle he gave up.
