The Anglican Communion voted to censure its American branch, the Episcopal Church, during a meeting in Canterbury, England, called to reflect on the future of the communion.
The vote Thursday (Jan. 14) to suspend the Episcopal Church from voting and decision-making for a period of three years was leaked a day ahead of a press conference that had been scheduled for Friday.

Good.
I’m Catholic. I used to joke with my friend, who is an Episcopalian, that he was more Catholic than I was.
Wonder what is going on.
This hasn’t been confirmed.
My Parrish is Anglican. no pro death no “gay” “marriage” no B.s.
Thank you.
The Ugandan Archbishop forced the issue by walking out of the discussions.
Yes, it has. Statement here: http://www.primates2016.org/articles/2016/01/14/statement-primates-2016/
Not an expulsion, more a restriction on what the ECUSA can vote on and a bar on representing the communion to other groups. (See paragraph 7).
Yep. High Church might swim the Tiber and low Church would be happy on their own.
All the squishes would probably just stop going period.
The linked article was interesting in that it didn’t indicate what changes needed to take place to reverse this vote in three years. If its a censure, what is the larger communion expected to reverse it? The article doesn’t say.
Good, might possibly wake up some Episcopals that the ECUSA has been run right off the (Biblical) rails
(but so has the UK Anglican church, what about them?)
Expected should be expecting.
It is not unlike a couple who are having marital problems and are sleeping in separate bedrooms. Maybe now they are going to formalize the separation.
Yes. Maybe they're going to get a divorce.

Interesting. And I thought the Anglican Church was even less Orthodox and more new age than the Episcopalian. I had that wrong.
I asked them to pull a permit, I am not Episcopal, to avoid the outside influence claim. They flunked all talk no action.
When the Episcopals in NH voted for it's first gay bishop, an "unrecovered" alcoholic who ditched his wife and kids to shack up with a guy, the writing was on the wall for ECUSA, imho.
I am surprised that the Anglicans have shown some balls. I was asked to organize a demo against MS Robinson when he was elected.

Conservative Anglican Churches poppin up across the nation...already divorced. lol
My former priest...now Bishop help to lead the charge for an expansion of Anglican parishes. Good stuff.
Would that the ELS/WELS/LCMS take such action with the ELKA*.
