The UK has never been a gun owning/buying public, so even when laws were easier, few British owned one. Guns aren’t just part of our culture as they are in the US. Not wrong, just different.

I understand that buying your 11yearold son his first 10-22 or passing down grandpa’s shotgun is not really a rite of passage in England like it is in the US.
At least like it is in my part of the US...
