Ted Cruz, now locked in a struggle to the political death with reigning campaign champion Donald Trump, faces a make-or-break night at the GOP debate Thursday night.
Proving his mettle as a candidate worthy of his post-season position, Cruz has ruggedly endured a sustained week of media battering over Trumpâs birtherism blitz, losing little ground.
Trumpâs all-out offensive raising questions about Cruzâs eligibility because of his birth in Canada â widely held to be a non-issue by constitutional experts â has arrested Cruzâs upward momentum but not caused a collapse. But while Cruz has barely dropped in the polls as a result, he cannot merely survive under siege from Trump if he means to win the nomination.

In this championship game, Cruz must call out Trump for what many conservatives can be convinced to see as an unholy alliance with the liberal, mainstream media. An alliance Cruz can claim now aims to kill him off, in order to protect Hillary from facing him in the fall."
I think that ship sailed and then sunk. With the stuff that is coming out about Cruz, he will have his hands full just fighting off Rubio and Jeb. Cruz is done.
Huh?
Non-stop Trump bashing in every magazine and paper in the country is an unholy alliance?
Time to put the Trump stalking horse out to pasture.
I think that Cruz is where he needs to be, and that he will be the nominee and President. Just my opinion, and preference.
“...widely held to be a non-issue by constitutional experts...”
LOL!
Mr. Trump did not bring up any birther questions about Sen. Ted Cruz.
The UNIGOVMEDIA, brought up the irresponsible question.
The dumbazz have carried that water.
And still, are burro-backing that stupidity.
Well done, JSDude1.
Bananas, I’ll believe it when I see it.
Absolutely. It has starved conservatives of oxygen from the beginning. Trump has known how to play the "TV bad boy" for a long time now. The noise you hear is from the faces in front of the camera. The people in charge are another matter.
I had a magazine cross my path this week. Fairly balanced story on Trump. Was ESQUIRE. Cover was a total hit job.
They hate both Trump and Cruz.
They hate Trump. They FEAR Cruz.
Some poll out two days ago had Jeb! in third place at 10%.
I’m worried Trump and Cruz are going at it too early.
This is bad advice. Cruz’s best lane of attack is to hit Trump from the right, like he’s been doing, not from the ‘media’ angle.
I get the ‘blood in the water’ vibe with Cruz... too many sharks are circling. I actually think this is a bad thing for Trump. With Cruz down Rubio may suck up Cruz’s soft support. This soft support were former Carson supporters who HATE Donald Trump, and could be enough to put Rubio and the GOPe back in the divers seat...
Keep dreaming.
Q. “Sen Cruz, whats 2+2?”
Cruz: Well, that reminds me of something I once told my daughter on one of those warm Texas nights when even a cold drink won’t exactly parch a dry mouth anymore than our founding fathers tried to in developing a constitutional...
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ-Times up!
(and I’m a Cruz supporter. JUST ANSWER THE *&%$!NG question!)
Mr. Trump did not bring up any birther questions about Sen. Ted Cruz.
Your dude has been bringing it up for a year. Started last year, 1/23/15. Not that facts matter to you. You believe every Trump lie.
Those angles aren’t mutually exclusive. Conservatives hate the media, especially when it is to attack conserclvatives who keep their word or to promote liberalism..
Time to put the Trump stalking horse out to pasture.
Spot on.
