Paul Ryan said he wouldn’t work weekends. So who will they get for the weekend President?
Bring. It. On.
To soon be followed by the Queen song, Another One Bites The Dust.
Sure, shovel Ryan out there. I know a few millions of conservatives who have the tomatoes ready.
Are the Republicans planning to run Paul Ryan on the 3rd Party Line? That is the only spot that will be open after the Convention is over.
Just like the way that Obama has brought Ryan & Congress to heel?
Frankly, it doesn't take much to bring the wimpy GOPe controlled Congress to heel. They're afraid of their own shadows.
Lol. How times have changed.
Yes. It's something to behold. Seeing the GOP embrace amnesty and other Elitist/globalist positions has been heartbreaking.
This kind of shenanigans is to be expected. They who hold the power will not give it up with out using every bullet in their gun.
A funny caricature for sure, but WI people see something there we don’t. Still WI wouldn’t vote for him for V.P. So who can you trust, WI or Ryan or neither?
Ryan thought he should be nice and deferential to a senior citizen: probably Romney’s idea.
It’s too late to change the House; many state filing deadlines, such as IL and TX, have already come and gone.
The nominee will be someone who is currently running, 100% chance.
Ahem .... will he at least have a look at the Constitution once in a while for guidance?
Or will he rely on a pen and a phone and his winning personalismo ?
On a small pedantic note, the modern Latin and ancient Roman cultures are organically connected, as per Oswald Spengler, so that modern Peronist and Somozist personalismo is the same thing as what Spengler and other historians called it when writing about Roman history, "Caesarism".
Trump shows enough Caesar around the edges that I worry about it. George Washington showed a certain amount of regalism in his "management style", but then he was still a full-grown English gentleman learning to be an American. But Lincoln's Caesarism was deadly, and FDR's nearly as much so, if in a better cause.
If you guys intend to vote for Trump in the primaries, you'd better pray you're going to be happy with what you get if he wins.
“...theyâll lose not just the Presidency and the US Senate, theyâll lose the HOR...”
Should we consider the possibility that the GOPe would consider that scenario, at the very least, an acceptable loss?
The same Paul Ryan that coauthored (with Ted Cruz) an oped praising TPA and TPP? That Paul Ryan does not stand a snowballs chance against the blue collar billionaire.
To think we (Conservatives) once thought he(Ryan) was going to be a good guy... what a loser
To think we (Conservatives) once thought he(Ryan) was going to be a good guy... what a loser
Sorry GOP, that won’t fly.
Besides, Paul wants more time with his family.
Ryans the puny guy on the beach, a chump up against the big boys.
Ryan is the Chairman of the convention.
As chairman he will have lots of power to stymie Cruz or Trump with backroom shenanigans.
That is where he will be Trump’s opponent, and a powerful one, not on a ballot.
