Trump’s Attacks Aren’t Fooling Ted Cruz’s Supporters
Buzzfeed ^ | 8 Jan 15 | Rosie Gray

"What’s worked on other Republicans doesn’t seem to be working on Cruz in Iowa, where supporters say Trump’s birther-style questions about the senator’s eligibility aren’t affecting their enthusiasm at all. “Ultimately any time [Trump] attacks anybody it’s because something good is happening with them.”

Cruz really comes off as a calm, classy, smart guy in this article. I like his generosity, and I do not doubt that despite the stray voltage and maligning of him he will make his birther-critic the next press secretary post Obama.

I think what’s really revealing is that Buzzfeed couldn’t find more than 1 or 2 supporters who weren’t over 60 years old, and one of those two was 57.

That Cruz’s voter base lives mostly in nursing homes and the geriatric ward.

He would make an excellent Supreme Court Justice.

The Donald is still a very formidable rival in this race, and while he hates to lose, could absorb one or even a couple of losses, and still come soaring out of the clouds to continue his bombing run, largely directed at Herself, but also inflicting considerable damage on the almost absolute chaos that the Current Occupant is inflicting on what is left of that territory once known as “the United States of America”.

And also, simultaneously, drawing in HUGE crossovers from the normally “uncommitted” middle and even a few long-time Democrats. Not important in the primaries, to be sure, but a VAST advantage in the general elections, which WILL be held in November of this year.

trump’s attack prove he’s a phoney hyopcrite since he himself said Cruz is eligible to be president.

guess now all those trumpsters who posted a trump Cruz ticket will now disavow that since their guy trump questions Cruz’s citizenship status. Oh dear, how will trumpsters try and convince Cruz supporters to support trump now since they’ve embraced the birther nonsense!!!

You think all of Cruz’s support is old people? Maybe Mr. Trump should point that out.

Trump's approach to truth is that it's malleable. He, like his former friend's the Clintons, see truth as situational and only dependent on how it impacts them. It's never objective. Loyalty to Trump, for example, is supposed to trump loyalty to timeless truths, objective truth, and demonstrable truth. For example, Bill Clinton was scientifically proven to be a perjurer. He also without out a doubt obstructed justice and sexually harassed women. Trump said it didn't matter. It was unimportant. Now, that Trump is running against the equally gifted and unabashed liar Hillary Clinton, Trump tells us that Bill Clinton is a cad. Bill, Trump has now discovered, doesn't know how to treat the fairer sex.

Now, Donald didn't mind the cad coming to his third wedding. Then, he was still in the "truth depends on how it helps Donald" mode. We see this type of ethical behavior much more on the left in our times. And, I believe, Trump, by character and temperament, is more of a lefty than a conservative. He's merely doing what suits him now without regard to previous positions, as you noted on his previous statements regarding Cruz's citizenship.

>>What do you think that reveals?

It reveals something that I have observed here on FR: that most Cruz supporters are stuck in 1988. They think they are electing a successor to Reagan and are ignoring the massive changes that have occurred in America and the world over the last 25 years (and especially the last 15).

And we’d be better off with a recent Clinton ally due to the massive changes?

Get a real good look at the people in these videos, and THINK AGAIN !

"The Republican establishment has more experience electing Democrats than I do.
They've shown they know how to do it, in presidential races. "

What You Need To Know About Ted Cruz ( 1:46 )

Take a good long look at where "Establishment Republicans" ALWAYS take us.

Watch this "YouTube Videos" and form your own opinion.

Cruz’s support of ObamaTRADE passage, which was SECRET
and unread to him, is fooling no one either.
We no longer support Sen. Cruz-GoldmanSachs.

DT is old. I could never vote for a man that old. Why pay attention to old folks? Used to be old folks were the most reliable voters. Now not so much.
I like everything you posted. You are good.

Sorry but I’ll support Cruz from the moment that he wins the nomination, if he wins the nomination.

Thanks, libbylu. I could vote for an old person, but not one that’s addled or irascible from old age, which may be part of the problem.

Trump should file a Declaratory Judgment action of his own-to establish that he is a conservative.

He may have some issues proving his case-one of the most effective tools used in cross-examination are Prior Inconsistent Statements.
