To the man I sat next to on the train: I am the gun owner you hate.

"Opinions and ideologies make a pretty thin shield against the bullets of a madman. Your liberal self-righteousness and ignorance may have made you feel superior and comfortable, but during that 40-minute train ride to Boston, my gun kept you safe."

When the SHTF, these gun haters, who have tried to take your gun,
will be looking for you to protect them and their families.

The good news.

These gun haters will be the first to go when the SHTF.
Only the smart and stronge will survive.

"When there are concealed-carry citizens carrying pistols on a train to Boston, you KNOW the gun-grabbers have lost."

~~~~~~
How so? Before I escaped my "Massachussetts exile", my MA LTC read, For All Lawful Purposes". And I carried every day and everywhere -- including on the "T" (MTA) trains -- for 16 years...
The "enabling secret" was that our local police chief was a 2nd Amendment Supporter...
Conversely, I know a US Army Sergeant Major (with at least eight rows of combat decorations) who's been trying since he came home from Desert Storm -- and, still can't get a "permit" from his chief in an adjoining town...
MA is still a "may issue" State; your RKBA is in the hands of the local town police chief...) That's not much of a "victory"...
Did the snowflake melt with fear?
The Sheep have no real sense of the Sheep Dogs. That is until the Wolves are coming for their throats. And guess who they scream for when that happens? The Sheep Dogs.
We are there. We are here. We are everywhere. Wolves be warned.
Everyone is safer when I'm around.
I always have at least one gun in my pocket.
He made a serious mistake.
Liberals are never worth saving. Even if he said it to make his letter more easy to swallow for moderates, all he does with that line of thought is endanger others by giving them the idea that risking you life to save a liberal is acceptable. No sane human should ever risk their life or protect the life of a liberal. EVER
If a liberal is saved by your indirect action, thats another issue but regrettable regardless.
Wouldn’t it be great for a CCW carrier to be able to say to a gun-hater in trouble, “You’re on your own. Good luck.” ?
So what?
Double posts several days apart harm nobody! And, they just may inform a few people who missed the original post.
I’m glad the thread was re-posted, because I didn’t see it the first time.
It is important that the anti-gun bozos know that there are Real Americans looking out for them!
Too bad the BART train yesterday didn't have an armed concealed carry on board yesterday. The loudmouth on the Boston train would be singing a different tune if he had been on this BART car...
Train passenger shot and killed in Bay area; suspect on run
By Tim Hume, CNN
January 10, 2016
(CNN) Police are hunting for a gunman who shot and killed a fellow passenger on board a train in Oakland, California.
The shooting occurred at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday as the Bay Area Rapid Transit train approached the West Oakland station, near the city's waterfront, BART spokesman Jim Allison said.
The shooter ran off the train and remains at large. A doctor on board the train performed CPR at the scene, but was unable to save the victim, Allison said. There were no details on what led to the shooting.
Amazing comments section.
Irony of all ironies that the people of Boston (at least those who comment on the Globe website) have degenerated into the sniveling cowards of today, compared with the patriots of the 18th century.
They bash the NRA, and they also comment that no armed bystander ever stopped a gun crime from happening. The American Rifleman (official organ of the NRA) has a column devoted to just that every issue, and has for decades.
Other liberal commenters noted that the writer was a paranoid who was out of his mind for merely imagining the scenario of a lone gunman on a train... anyone in Boston ever hear of the Long Island Rail Road, where the crypto-muslim killed many commuters several years ago?
“Most comments at that site are completely idiotic.”
You have grossly understated their idiocy, sir! They are intolerant, arrogant, dismissive and literally dehumanize the author & anyone who agrees with him or carries CCW.
The scary part is that this is the Boston Globe, a journal informing liberals how to think on current issues as much as the New York Times. Our ruling class, in other words, or so they think themselves.
The late great William F. Buckley’s most presicent statement, IMO, was this:
“I would rather be governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than by the faculty of Harvard University.”
Again, the sheer arrogance of the commenters, combined with their belittling of anyone who disagrees with them, is something that shouldn’t hold the levers of power in any society that values liberty.
Funny thing, I’ve noticed more Tshirts at HEB with odd bulging at the waist on several guys in produce and checking out.
I felt safer.
Some liberals might be more open-minded if a conservative saved their life. I know anecdotally that did not work in the case of Eric Bolling saving Bob Beckel from choking to death, but still, let them die? Doesn’t such a thing dehumanize us? That’s what I believe it would do.
For example, let’s say I’m dining at a favorite establishment in a liberal town. Suddenly I hear “ALLAAAAAAAHU AKBARRR!!!” and then POP! POP! POP! Looking around I see a direct line to the terrorist, and his gun is aimed elsewhere. I jump the terrorist, disarm him (by some miracle), shove the gun in his mouth and pull the trigger, sending him to Hell to get his 72 Helen Thomases. Would you and God really frown upon me if some of the lives I saved were liberal lives?
Yes. Let them die. Because they are the people that will stand by or actively support jackboots. Look to world history. They are the people that rat out the enemies of communism. they are the people that take your guns. they are the people that force muslims on your country. They are the people that force men in women’s restrooms. They are the people that force gays onto boy scouts.
Let them die.
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
You’re most welcome. I will go back to that Boston Globe site later to glean more creepy comments.
Not even “I’m a liberal, I own guns for hunting, but...”
Notice the one, “Combat veterans are likely to have PTSD and cannot be trusted with firearms.”
Can you imagine living among these people?
