Republican primary front-runner Donald Trump says North Korean communist dictator Kim Jong-un deserves "credit" for the cutthroat efficiency with which he disposes of his political foes.
"If you look at North Korea, this guy, he's like a maniac, OK?" Trump said at a rally in Ottumwa, Iowa, on Saturday.
"And you've got to give him credit: How many young guys - he was like 26 or 25 when his father died - take over these tough generals and all of a sudden, you know, it's pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that?" he added.
âEven though it is a culture, and itâs a culture thing, he goes in, he takes over, he's the boss. It's incredible."
After North Korea's government said it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb earlier this week, Trump called the authoritarian leader a "madman playing around with nukes" and a "total nut job."
But he also insinuated that Kim had some admirable qualities.
"I mean, it's amazing that a young guy would go over and take over," Trump said Thursday on Fox News' "On the Record." "You know, you would have thought that these tough generals would have said no way this is gonna happen when the father died.
"So he's gotta have something going for him, because he kept control, which is amazing for a young person to do," he added.
Trump has previously praised other world leaders with less-than-stellar human rights records.
He called Russian President Vladimir Putin a "highly respected" man in global affairs, after the Russian strongman called Trump "bright and talented."
Wow. You said it all.
Maniac, lunatic, wack job. Why quibble over semantics?
Well, sadly, you’re probably right on target.
Take a deep breath. No, those quotes are not false, but the meaning being attributed to them is. This is what I said in a previous post on the subject, and represents my thoughts on it:
If you want to deal with your enemies, you have to be able to honestly assess their strengths and weaknesses. Anyone without an agenda to push could see that thatâs what Trump was engaging in, especially with regards to his remarks about Kim Jong Un. He hasnât minced words that heâs a dangerous nut job.
With Putin, same thing, except in his case, Trump has tried to make the case that it might be wrong to assume that Russia is our enemy, at least in every situation, and that it might be worth pursuing some common ground.
Reasonable statements to any reasonable person, but scandalous if you’re someone desperately trying to score some cheap political points.
Will he praise Erdogan next who recently invoked Hitler?
They’d be howling like a pack of wolves.
OK, next I expect you’ll be stomping your feet, and holding your breath till you turn blue. If you’re not careful, you might just burst a blood vessel or two.
You TDSrs remind me of that animated movie HEAVY METAL, and the story of Captain Stern and Hanover Fiste ... You TDSrs are Fiste
I very accurately stated fact about Trump’s unsuitability to run for public office.
1. Here’s a loud mouth attention whore.
2. He has no filters, like most New Yawkers.
3. He has very poor discernment.
Prove those observation statements wrong, Trump lackeys -
Trump’s New Yawk habit of saying Everything he thinks sends confusion to allies and enemies alike at a time of Huge tension on the border with N. Korea, when @sshole Trump makes the following confusing quasi-kissass statement?
Trump: “I mean, it’s amazing that a young guy would go over and take over,” Trump said Thursday on Fox News’ “On the Record.” “You know, you would have thought that these tough generals would have said no way this is gonna happen when the father died.
“So he’s gotta have something going for him, because he kept control, which is amazing for a young person to do,” he added.
Trump has previously praised other world leaders with less-than-stellar human records.
It’s damned similar to what Bill Maher said admiring the “courage” of 911 highjacking pilots.
Look at the utter hell we heaped on a comedian for a conceding statement praising any attribute about a murderous enemy.
Trump is running for president and is not supposed to run his mouth like a clumsy chatty buffoon.
Little hope that Trump’s adoring fans will listen and process critical statements about Trump’s unsuitability for office.
DoughyOne sez:
“Honestly, it’s just downright scary to follow the logic trail with some of you anti-Trump folks.”
Karl Rove, Mitt Romney, Reince Preibus, and the rest of the Trump-hating media and leftist-libtards THANK you for making their jobs easier.
Good work fool.

Better be careful. Your mailbox could become very active...
LOL
I’ve got SCAV installed.
(Scott Walker Anti Virus) LOL
It’s the Cliff Clavin candidacy.
Mine too, but that’s usually when obsessions start also. And let’s be honest, you’re obsessed to the point that you cannot possibly be rational about anything related to Trump. CAn you at least give this man some chance to win your support? I’m not stupid, you aren’t either. I just don’t honestly see anyone remotely capable of bringing this country together and LEADING US, ALL OF US. People are lining up behind him. Good respectable people. It’s proper and right that people like James Dobson and the others support Cruz. Cruz is a good man. He’s the faith based guy that should follow Trump, because we need to change and improve the spiritual nature of our people. I know, it’s a bunch of true believers like you have in any movement, even the bad ones, and Trump has a lot to learn when it comes to winning people like my brother and you. I call him on the phone, and the second I bring up TRump’s name, he hangs up on me! I mean he’s rude. So now I know how to get him off the phone.
Isn’t that the truth!
RE: “Itâs the Cliff Clavin candidacy.”
Cruz or lose.
Trump just gave us true insight to his mentality and gravitation to totalitarianism. It appears to me he is either a mob boss or is the puppet of a mob boss. Maybe we should call him by his real name “John III”.
You sound very GOPe. Who are you?
That is probably the main reason most people like Trump. He does not speak in PC. PC is causing national suicide. Trump is anti-PC. He says what he thinks without giving disclaimers.
FR DISCLAIMER: This is not an anti-Trump post. I support Trump. I do not have TDS. Please do not let this post hurt your feelings if you think it is anti-Trump, because it is not.
It may be a good idea to wait and buy it in 2019. I've got a feeling we may need the latest version that year.
