Curtis LeMay hangs his head in disbelief in the afterlife.
That B-52 should have been flown over the Norkie nuclear test site and a load of good old Tennnessee horse pucky dropped from 20 thousand feet..
Obama is a a wuss.
“Curtis LeMay hangs his head in disbelief in the afterlife.”
Didn’t he send one B-29 over Hiroshima ?
You ever get that mess straightened out about your site being ‘blacklisted’?
Good grief. A SINGLE plane?
One lousy plane?
I know a B-52 is impressive, but hey ... could he spare a bi-plane to fly escort at least?
One plane? A single plane to allay fears in S Korea?
Hey, maybe a humvee could drive around too. And maybe even have a man with an M1 riding shotgun.
An old suitcase can hide one hell of a bomb these days...
Much as I detest the Obama admin, I like the statement - even our old crap can take you out.....
Just saw a picture of it. No weapons hanging from the wings.
Either it was a pointless display — or it was gathering electronic intelligence.
when you boil it all down........obama can’t make a show of strength because he is the weakness and all the world knows it
You have to give O’bambi a lot of credit for this one. What a Guy! He actually ordered a 70 year old air frame to fly a few miles over friendly territory!
If you have never seen a B52 on NOE flight it is amazing sight. At the end of Border Star 85 a flight of 6 or so flew north over the "defenders" (my unit) to finish off the attackers. They were so close and so big it seemed the whole sky was full of them.
The only thing more impressive was finding my cot halfway out of our Saudi "circus" tent after a night of pounding Iraqi forces 10 miles away. It reminded me of those vibrating football games of the early 60's. Nothing was in the same place from the night before.
‘... or it was gathering electronic intelligence...’
Hey, when Air Force One terrified the streets of New York, could that have been electronic-intelligence gathering too?
Naw, probably just a joy ride.
One? Pfft
Two...there was a chase plane.
My sentiments exactly, “that’ll show ‘em” just like it deterred the chicoms from the shoals of the South China Sea.
Fly a 60 year-old airplane over and that is “flexing your muscle”?
As much as I admire and respect the young people of the air crews that fly our airplanes we are a shadow of our former selves in defense. Not much more than paper tigers.
Was this “flyby” before or after the “F**k you North Korea! A strong letter follows” communication?
