Donald Trump intensified his criticism of Ted Cruz at two Iowa campaign rallies on Saturday, urging voters to reject the Texas senator by saying his Canadian birth raises serious questions about his eligibility to become president.
"He was born in Canada. I guess his parents voted in Canada," Trump said at an afternoon rally in Clear Lake. "So if you were born in Canada, immediately it's a little bit of a problem."
Trump added: "You cannot put somebody there that's gonna go in ... he's going to be immediately sued."
Earlier Saturday, Trump said at a rally in Ottumwa that Cruz "has to straighten out his problems," a veiled reference to the so-called "birther" issue. But he declined to elaborate further, saying, "We'll discuss that later."
Cruz, however, is a naturally-born U.S. citizen, and most legal experts agree that he is qualified to be commander-in-chief.
But recently, he has had to aggressively push back on questions pushed from Trump about his eligibility for the presidency. He renounced his dual Canadian citizenship in 2014, and on Friday, Cruz's campaign shared with the conservative website Breitbart a copy of his mother's birth certificate showing her born in the United States.

A lib who was a seminal figure in Immigration Law said in the 60’s that it was not settled law but had an OPINION. He served as General Counsel for INS and wrote a well respected TREATISE.
Better credentials than Levin.
Imagine that we live in a country where this issue can’t decided at the very least until they are ready to place Cruz’s name on the ballot and possibly not unless he is elected president.
Obviously the issue has to be legally ruled upon right now.

I agree that is what this is all about.
Actually Iowa is now tied. Cruz peaked too early. It doesn’t help that Cruz has been spending most of the week making copies of his mothers birth certificate. Ted needs to put this behind him.
Cruz should not have started the class envy stuff. Trump was waiting for an opportunity. Next is the heavy-up attack on how Cruz is bought and paid for... Trump actually mentioned that today too.

I think that Trump is laying the ground work for Cruz to be his VP.
And Tribe said in his opinion, Cruz was eligible. But Anita Trump didn’t say that.
I don’t consider Levin is GOD. There is a very strong case against Cruz and it needs to be resolved. IMO he is not eligible. The Founding Fathers were very explicit that a person must be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN to be eligible.
So is Cruz’s attack on Trump flying his private plane home to be with his family. If you want to throw a punch you should know you start a fight. Suck it up Ted.
No, because his mother was a Naturalized citizen of the united States several years BEFORE Trump was born and his father was a citizen. No questions on that vein.
I just watched the Laurence Tribe interview. Holy crap. Laurence Tribe just said that his former law student, Ted Cruz was wrong in stating that the issue is settled.

I have to...never bashed trump — until this matter. He knows Cruz is eligible,he said it himself. Now, he’s losing, so he pulls this crap.
Sorry, mountainman, Trump deserves no respect any more- least from my standpoint.
