Migrants who commit crimes should lose their right to asylum, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday, toughening her tone as police in Cologne confronted right-wing protesters venting their anger at mass assaults on women on New Year's Eve.
Police in the western city fired water canon to disperse protesters from the anti-Islamic PEGIDA movement, which has seized on the alleged involvement of migrants in the New Year attacks and stepped up its calls for a halt to the influx.
Nearly two dozen asylum seekers were among those suspected of carrying out the attacks, police said this week, heightening tensions over immigration and fuelling criticism of Merkel's refusal to place a limit on the numbers of migrants entering the country.

Prediction: Once many of these "migrants" receive their papers as legal residents of Germany and elsewhere in Europe, they will be flocking to the US. They won't even need visas as most of Europe is part of the Visa Wavier Program. Once they get here, they will disappear and be part of the illegal alien population, 40% of whom came here legally and overstayed their visas.
IMHO the US and other countries need to declare Islam Military Cult disguised as a religion to be banned. The refugees and immigrants we get from Islam is a coordinated effort by the UN (controlled by Muslims) and 52 (57?) Muslims to expand their caliphate. That is an invasion, not a religion.

German police have arrested a man alleged to have been looking to extract revenge from immigrants over the New Year's Eve sex attacks.
The man, 26, was arrested by transport police yesterday morning while on a train heading to the station in possession of a meat cleaver.
Arrested in Gelsenkirchen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, police said he appeared nervous about being checked so they decided to search his luggage.
Police said he told officers he was shocked by the sex attacks at the station last week, and had decided to travel there to make sure it did not happen again.
Volker Stall, a police spokesman, said the man wanted to 'bring things in order'.
'When he was asked what he was planning, he said he was travelling to Cologne in order to get a picture about what exactly happened there for himself.
'Asked what he planned to do with the weapon, he said that the meat cleaver was a part of that process.'

If the men in Germany are so wimpy as to not defend the women then surely there are waste parts of pigs in the sausage factories that can be put to good use.
They know what to do. They have long known what to do. The problem is the women are too busy protecting themselves while the men cower and form groups to monitor the situation from a safe distance.
One of my closest friends is now living in Berlin (after a lifetime in Munich) and came to NYC this week. He still thinks the importation of these guys is a good thing. Admittedly, he is a young man but as intelligent and kind as he is, he bewilders me.
