Father Kevin Payne is outraged after what he has deemed as a line-crossing two-minute pat down of his 10-year-old daughter Vendela by TSA at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The additional security was triggered by a juice pouch Vendela accidentally left in her carry-on bag.
"It was excessive, it was invasive, I was pretty much boiling in my head," he told ABC News. (source)
Payne recorded the pat down on his phone and uploaded the video to YouTube despite the fact that the TSA agent lied and told him that filming was not allowed (it absolutely is).
"While there was a SHOE BOMBER, Agent completely ignores shoes & quickly focuses on my 10 yr old child's buttox, thighs & pelvic areas," Payne wrote in the YouTube video of the incident he uploaded to YouTube.
It's tough to watch the part where it appears the agent is going to lift the girl's shirt. The girl reaches for the hem immediately, a pained look on her face at potentially being undressed in public. The agent pats down her thighs front and back multiple times and around the little girl's breasts.
It really is hard to watch. Her father wrote that he felt like he was watching his 5th grade daughter get assaulted.
And yet, he stood by filming it and watching it happen...
It's a wonder if Americans will ever rise up in mass and simply stop allowing themselves to be subjected to this guilty-until-proven-not-a-terrorist behavior. If everyone across the country simply refused fly for even one whole day to boycott this, it would stop. Instead, our nation's citizens continue to diligently trudge through the airports and subject themselves and their children to be groped and in some cases sexually assaulted by government goons day in and day out.
It's ridiculous, especially considering the TSA has already been found to completely fail at doing its job 95% of the time...

Let us not forget when Senator Charles Schumer (D, NY) scolded the public that we must federalize airport security screeners so they would “be more professional.” We will also recall that prior to federalization airport security personnel could not arrest your money when they didn’t like the amount of money you were carrying and they didn’t view their job as an opportunity to spy on you and act as scouts for the vast federal apparatus.
The size of government does matter. We make a GRAVE MISTAKE when we confuse the definition and regulation of a needed function with the actual work needed to accomplish that function. We still have not learned that lesson with respect to having government run the education system. And we have not learned that lesson with airport passenger screening.

If I had been standing there with my 11 yr old I would be livid!!!!!!
But then I would try to smooth it over with her.....NOT take pictures.

Sheeesh! I sure wasn’t expecting this.
I would like to know what he would do if that was his little girl?
Would he stop the process......decide this is not the day to fly?
Tell the TSA where to go.....or what he thinks of them, like he did me?

They poked me in the stomach without warning—I had a pot belly at the time in Sept. 2002.
I almost hauled off at the guy.
I told my wife I could longer trust myself on these inspection lines.
So we have driven ever since.
We drove from Texas to Florida during the holidays as well, FUTSA.
I have found thst”boiling inside your head” is better than letting it out MOST of the time but that there are times a Man let’s it out. If he doesn’t know when to keep his head down and when to step forward he may want to think more about what it means to be a Man and perhaps, as incentive, hold off calling himself a Man until he sorts it all out.
Glad to hear from another person who believes the 4th Amendment means something. Since 2009, I've taken extra travel days as vacation days when attending business conferences out of state. My wife is retired so she goes along to help out on the driving. We've had a good time with various stops en route, both going and returning. Examples: Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg TN; National Quilt Museum in Paducah KY; the only house built in the South that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Florence AL.
Then why didn’t he, as her father, just say ‘ STOP!’.....I don’t want my daughter subjected to this.

We are all sick of these restrictions on law abiding citizens......
...little girls, nuns, elderly in wheel chairs, etc.
OK I will go farther.....
I can see documenting the elderly in wheelchairs and say SEE WHAT THE TSA are doing????....this is insane.
I just think it adds insult to injury to video his little girl and put her online.
Dad needs to file a lawsuit. What that TSA agent did was totally inappropriate.

Well, you answered your own question there. As far as posting online, anything that demonstrates to people what their government and employees do is a public service (for better or for worse). This father didn’t just watch his daughter get groped; HE PAID THE PEOPLE THAT DID IT.
I flew once after 9/11. Never again as long as this situation exists.

We have a contingent of “take the high road” sheep here. College women are taught to urinate and defecate on themselves to prevent rape. A good fart isn’t that much when you look at it in that perspective.
These days, the high road is where you go to be ignored, marginalized, and to just do what they want you to do. The Progs count on us taking the high road. It is part of their game plan.

Thanks; the efforts by our government to hide the threat to us is disgusting - and it started before Obama. People know better, and seem to be adjusting their behavior to avoid Muslims whenever possible.
This is all Obama. The only reason we haven’t lost more airplanes to Muslim jihadists is because they most likely have changed tactics. It’s absolute insanity.
Guen, I agree—it would have been better not to show his daughter’s face.
It is the pat down that needs to be documented—not the face of the little girl it happened to.
If it was humiliating to her the first, it will be so with every playing of the video.
Maybe the Dad was eager to get it out there to show the excesses of the TSA, and that is understandable.
