Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% has repeatedly defended his eligibility to be president this week, but wondering whether his Canadian birthplace would prevent him from running for the office has been on his mind since at least childhood, a classmate of his tells CNN.

Stupid!
Nothing I’ve ever said proves I supported Ron Paul.
You are all so ignorant .. it’s stunning.
AGAIN ..!!!! Ignorance personified.
Cruz already dealt with this .. has all the documents .. so you’re beating a dead horse.
And .. nothing you can say will change my vote - NOTHING.
“Well, you prove your ignorance.
All of this has already been settled .. a long time ago.”
LOL!
Ok, you just keep on with that FR bravado then. Go ahead, ignore this because it’s “settled”. I’m sure the Democrats will totally agree with you.
And .. since his mother and dad divorced, I wondered if he went to Canada to visit her ..?? But, I don’t know any of those circumstances.
Hmmmmm ..?? I guess Luircin can’t fight his own battles .. has to call a “girl” .. LOL, LOL
I don’t give a rip what any DemocRAT thinks.
You are free to do such research.
“Well .. if that was true .. then youâre assuming Trump expects that Cruz will either be the nominee for President or for Vice President.”
Trump’s stated goal was to keep the Republicans from throwing the election to the Democrats again the way they did with Bush Sr., McCain, and Romney. Regardless of Trump’s hidden motives and any corruption that could be associated with him, he realizes like most of us that having another Democrat, especially Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, in the White House would mean their appointment of Marxists to the Supreme court and totalitarian government far worse entrenched to overthrow the Bill of Rights.
“And .. I donât think this denies the LEFT of anything.”
The Left would like nothing better than to get most of the way through the election cycle and then invalidate the GOPe candidate when it is too late to recover. The GOPc wants to see the Democrats do the same with Hillary Clinton, and indict her when the Democrats have a difficult time campaigning her replacement. Forcing the issue early gives Cruz a chance to resolve it in his favor before the election or default to a more successful candidate in time to defeat the DNC candidate/s.
And .. I donât think this denies the LEFT of anything.
“
You had better.
They are the ones that have been sitting on this until such time as they would find it needed.
And they wont care what you have to say when they use it.
I'm not saying he hasn't. I'm saying if he isn't pre-emptive and make it clear in the voters minds that he's eligible, the dems will frame the discussion.
I'm also saying that I'm skeptical. It goes back to what we learned in school in the '50s and '60s. Since Cruz wasn't even born then, I have to wonder if he even knows the definition many of us were taught back then.
And if you want to quote Rush...
"Brilliant, just absolutely brilliant. And conservative through and through. Trustworthy, strong, confident, leader, and somebody in whom you can totally depend." ~Rush Limbaugh on Ted Cruz
The time line is bogus. It provides not one shred of evidence to back up the claim that Cruz’s mom was ever a Canadian citizen. If she had given up her American citizenship, she would have had to be naturalized to regain it.
How?
This might be one of the things yo are looking for:

....” the founders original intent”.....
Well that is what has been debated for years....Cruz isnât the first presidential candidate born outside the United States. Romney, born in Mexico, and John McCain, born in the Panama Canal Zone, were likewise the children of U.S. citizens.
There are some strangler Politicians and lawyers who want to keep the issue alive........so far they’ve failed to prove their positions.....additionally most ‘Constitutional’ Lawyers agree that this is not an issue for Cruz.
TigerClaws,
CA conservative posted that in order to get Canadian citizenship, they had to have lived there for five years.
They moved to Canada in ‘67, and Cruz was born in ‘70.

If she had renounced US citizenship, she’d be stateless, since there was a five year residency requirement to become a Canadian citizen, and she had oly been there at most four years, 66/67 to 70, before Ted was born.
See CA Conservative post here, about the residency requirement:
