However, I think the tears were real, probably more from frustration at being on the losing end of this argument and seeing that clearly. That also explains the yelling and other demagoguery in the presser. More to the point, there isn’t much gained in trying to litigate the opposite, especially for prospective presidential nominees. Trump takes the best political tack — allowing for legitimate motivation while opposing the policies and the ideology behind it.

The REAL issue is winning elections. Stealing Hillary voters to his side is a diabolical move on Trump’s part. Bare words about Obama’s tears does not change one line in any gun laws. Trump is a master at bringing voters to his side without spending much money.

What Trump is trying to say is...The tears are real....so what...The issue isn’t about tears....it’s about the rights of the people to bear arms.
Wouldn’t it have been better from Trump to point out that Obama couldn’t care less about ‘the children’ because his DOJ has prosecuted about 50% fewer gun crimes than had Bush’s, and he’s been actively involved in reducing penalties for criminals who used a gun in commission of drug related crimes?

I'm for someone outside the system. Would a Trump presidency be a perfect 4 years of conservatism? Likely not. He certainly stands a better chance of tearing down big government more than the rest of the establishment rats including Cruz.
I heard Obama’s speech so I didn’t see the tears, but he does have kids. Tearing up at Sandy Hook is human. I’ll give him that.
I don’t see what rally attendance has to do with making excuses and calling Obama’s dog and pony show sincere. Might want to stop diverting the issue.

I was listening to a guest on Beck's show this morning who knew Obama in Chicago. Obama told the guest that he opposed gun ownership altogether.
If they are sincere, it’s the result of not being able to go straight to confiscation.
Maybe he would/will do a lot of good things. I hope he does if elected. But your crew of worshipers would do him and themselves a lot of favors by ditching the hero worship and calling a spade a spade.

Cruz doesn't need to overtake now. Slow and steady will win for him. The more important thing that you are obviously missing is that Trump adapts Cruz's policies and even his words. Then Trump flattens the media with them. Along with helping Trump, that helps Cruz.
I think Trump could easily win this and I am fine with that. But Cruz will win if/when people tire of Trump. And that will be awesome.
