First, Trump never stated that Cruz was not eligible to run, but can someone read this timeline and explain how Cruz is or is not natural born? This document was linked in a response to Mark Levin's Twitter feed under the "Oh my" post. I wonder if Mark will mention this timeline on air. Maybe not because it appears to damaging to Ted Cruz, but I could be wrong. Glenn Beck was already misrepresenting Trump's remarks this morning. I hope Levin doesn't do the same.

Trump does seem to have great skills at the sucker punches and innuendo. I don't suppose this recent one is because all indicators are that he will lose Iowa.

The only relevant part of your timeline is the one indicating the year of Ted Cruz’ birth to an American citizen mother. But you knew that, didn’t you?

By the way, you forgot to include the 1898 Spanish American War in your timeline. That’s about as relevant as the remainder of your items.

Trump was saying different things in Sep. But, hey, he used to fund the Clintons and sing their praise. He used to say Hillary'd make a great president, and that Bill's sexual harassment was a non issue. So why should we be surprised when he turns on Cruz?

It says here she was a mother who had also applied for and received Canadian citizenship prior to Ted’s birth.

I don't know if it is accurate or not, but the timeline says both his father and mother became naturalized citizens of Canada. I'd think that would be plenty relevant, if true.

Yup.

I’ve known that for months.

The fact that both his parentS were Canadian is the killer for Cruz, there is no way of denying it.

Hey, Ted Cruz is a good guy and all. But he simply ain’t a Natural Born citizen, no matter how you slice it.

The timeline says no such thing, but you knew that didn’t you? We don’t know whether Cruz’s mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth. We do know that his father naturalized in Canada when he was married to his mother and we also know that Canada didn’t allow dual citizenship. Based on those facts alone I’d think further investigation is required, and Cruz being the great advocate for and respecter of the Constitution that he purports to be should be all in for that examination. For example opening up his INS file to the public.

Cruz’s mother was American at the time of birth making Ted American from my understanding.

Trump basically should have never been on the horizon of winning Iowa but he's there to some extent.

snip

Barring new and damaging revelations, many Iowa Republicans now think the only thing standing
between him and a victory on Feb. 1 is a groundswell of first-time or infrequent voters
turning out for Donald J. Trump, of the sort that materialized for Barack Obama in 2008.....

Iowa Republican leaders say that he is the preferred candidate among traditional activists.
"He's winning the within-the-system, anti-establishment folks," said Don Kass, Republican
chairman in Plymouth County. But the party leaders also say that Mr. Trump is garnering support
from people new to the caucuses.

end snips.

New to the caucues is key to a Cruz or Trump win in Iowa, imo.

So if China decides all the world are citizens of China that makes everyone ineligible for US President?

I saw this before. Even though they SAY it is documented, they provide no documentation. For example, they provide nothing to support the absurd claim that Ted’s mother became a Canadian citizen other than referring to an NPR interview with Ted’s father, where he said that HE had applied to become a Canadian citizen.

This is nothing more than the same rehashed tripe, trying to present it as if it was actually evidence of something.

The laws of the US and the rulings of SCOTUS say otherwise.

It says here she was a mother who had also applied for and received Canadian citizenship prior to Ted's birth.

And yet they provide nothing to substantiate that claim, even though they say it is documented. Hmmm....

This would be the only thing that would disqualify him...did his mother renounce her US citizenship?

If so where is the evidence of that?

“The only relevant part of your timeline is the one indicating the year of Ted Cruz’ birth to an American citizen mother.”

Then the same holds true for Obama. Using that criteria Obama is a natural born citizen too. But lots of conservatives/republicans questioned Obama’s eligibility.

Republicans/conservatives cannot use a different eligibility standard for Obama and pretend to be logically consistent. That is the dilemma Trump is pointing out. And he’s right.
