People who say they’ll refuse to vote in the general election if Trump is the nominee disgust me. As far as I’m concerned that’s tantamount to voting for Hillary.

And I say this as a republican who really, really does not care for Trump. I hope and pray he does not get the nomination, and I’ll oppose him until that time, but if he does, then I close ranks with everyone else and support Trump, because at that point the choice is no longer between Trump and some (better) GOP candidate, the choice is between Trump and a corrupt liberal fascist.

Yes Sir or Ma’am Oceander:

I will walk barefoot over rough gravel to get to the polls
to vote for either Trump or Cruz - barefoot over gravel.
I am that sick of so many years of dam* Clintons I could
just puke if it would help. . but it won’t. So, I’ll vote;
but I’ve voted for GOPe so many times in the past and
wasted my time, not to mention my vote.

If the gents in the Senate had stood with the House back
when they had the guts to impeach the Old Lech, we would
not likely be facing the spectre of Hitler-y (the Gift
that Keeps on Giving). It is surreal!

I see a lot of the “I can’t vote for Trump because he is too low brow “ comments on another site I read.

It is just so amazing.People need to really read the history of US politics. The election on 1828 was so dirty that one of John Qunicy Adams committed suicide after been labeled a pimp for the Czar of Russia. Not to be out done Adams attacks on Jackson drove his wife insane.

Politics has always been dirty business. You either play to win or you don’t play. There is no high road

What about those of us who believe trump will be just as bad or worse Hillary? Those of us who think he is a liberal statist (as evidenced by his entire life history)?

Because that’s me. Six months ago most people here would’ve laughed at the notion of his running as a Republican based upon his life. Some choose to believe he has had an epiphany (suspiciously timed to coincide with his decision to run). But some of us do not. If my choice is to vote for liberal A or liberal B, I choose not to play. I will absolutely vote in the downstream elections, I never miss a vote. But if that my choice, I will leave that line blank.

Sorry if that disgusts you. I understand. But, it disgusts me to vote for liberal statists.

But that is the popular position around here come election time. Did everyone here vote for McCain? Romney? Who gets to decide when it's right or wrong to vote for a candidate? Evidently just keeping an Obama or Hillary out is not enough. Right?

Makes no difference to them - after 8 years of Obama, they'll try to 'splain why allowing Hillary the win is the "principled" thing to do...

What disgusts me is those who express strong feelings/thoughts but don't back it up by actually giving tangible support to what they claim to be their causes...

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit.

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz
